My go to lunch is 2 beef sticks and an equal mix of pecans and cashews and some coconut flakes mixed in. My body runs really well on fats instead of carbs and I never got fatigued on my last hunt with these.

Same. I noticed that carbs slow me down in comparison to fats. Jack Links bars and peanuts go a long way for me

I hadn’t heard of Wild Society, but love bulgogi (make a venison bulgogi every chance I get myself), so I’m going to check them out. Thanks for that and all the freeze dryer tips.

They are pretty good. I only like a couple of their food. Their biscuits and gravy is helllllllllllllaaaaaa good though. But what ever floats your boat.

I found out while on a 7 day hunt that freeze dried food makes me backed up 😂😂😂 still trying to figure out what my stomach can handle while hunting. I came down with diverticulitis about 5 years ago so I can’t eat certain food like seeds or nuts.

Sorry to hear that! Definitely need to figure out what foods you can take into the mountains. Thank you for watching.

We had an old joke in Boy Scouts that said, "You dont poop freeze dried food, you just fart it out..."

Do the homemade freeze dried meals still give you terrible gas that smells like the meal you ate? I’ve tried several brands including peak refuel and they are no bueno on my stomach the next day.
