Minions also get 30% of all YOUR stats. So if you want to boost minion dmg - I would get many items with attack speed and dmg. I have to test if Rapid Aspect boost minions basic attacks speed- It can go up to 40% +

@@zoopa9988 yea i was tryin to see if the bone mages where getting life on kill, they seem to survive better when clearin small mobs, die faster on bosses, so maybe? Or they are just attackin more and in combat longer on bosses. I hope they get some of our damage reduction at the very least
If you get the percent damage increase for the skeletal warriors, it increases all 3 types of summons. It's bugged. The mage and golem damage buff do not work. You can check this in your character stats screen.
Hello, first thank you for the content, it really is well done! Your obviously quite busy making vids, but now that the beta is done I was hoping if you would either make a short vid just explaining minion stats in general. How they benefit from your character stats if at all. in some games they say take a % of your stats and apply that to the minions ie your crit, atk spd, dmg, and even defensive resistances. Other games have "minion" stats on gear itself. I played the Necro over the weekend, but couldn't figure out how they were going to scale. Outside of talent/paragon points. I did see on jewelry there were a couple minion stats available, but found nothing on the other slots. So my assumption is they are going to take a percentage of our characters stats? A video on the subject would be great, or if its something simply explained, maybe just a quick reply :) Thanks! (Apologize if this was already stated in the vids and I missed it!)
Um let me look into for sure! I think most stats are transferred as 30%, and I saw this on a tip during loading too, this also makes sense as book of dead turn stats like thorn 30% into 50%
So stacking higher raw dmg on our weapon is nice as skele get great atoll bonuses and attack speed from aspects, 2h is ideal, but don’t sleep on 1h plus off hand too! As off hand gives 80% boost to ark on our 1h

FWIW, There was actually a bug during the beta where the 3 points into 'Increased Damage and Life for Skeleton Warriors' actually applied to all of your minions, Mages and Golem included. Where as the 'Increased Damage and Life of Skeleton Mages' and 'Golems' respectively, didn't actually do anything. So your 3 points into Skele Warriors actually buffed all your minions, where as the points you passed up wouldn't have done anything anyway. Just notes for actual release, assuming they fix this.
Thats insane! I have been using a minion build will have to try for that codex for the minion damage! I have also seen +minion damage % on amulet not sure what other slots they can roll onto. Thanks for the guide!
I really found the corpse explosion+blood mist route to be a huge downgrade for a minion build. It's nice for clearing trash packs but trash packs give basically nothing and should be skipped and you really don't gain much by using the blood mist so you can ditch that save 3 points and just use CE manually. But realistically every corpse you blow up in fighting a boss fight is 20% less damage for your minions via through priest buff (which you can also invest to heal up to 70% of a minions health) and 20% of your minions damage is far more than a CE even maxed out. So unless your overflowing with corpses it just isn't great. Also bone spirit instead of bone prison is kinda weird. You spend all of your essence to do vastly less damage than bone prison applying vulnerability. Prison also has a legendary to auto cast blight so you can save a skill slot on your bar that way too. Investing in mages tends to also be much better than warriors mainly because they just do way more damage and if you go bone mages they hit nearly as hard as a 5/5 CE and you have 6 of them. You do tend to need bonded in essence passive for the healing sustain though. The blood passive for orbs healing your minions is really weak in comparison and needs 4 points vs only 3 for the other.
Hi, what is the sceleteon priest healing you were talking about? I got so far the Sk-Warriors and mages. Where to get it? Its a legendary proc? Update: I guess I know what you mean, but this healing is bugged, also according to US forum
@@drshoe7803 the healing worked fine for me on beta, the priest comes out when you use the summon skelly ability with full army already summoned, the big heal from passive tree can only activate every 5 seconds, so spamming the heal will give 1 big heal and subsequent small heals until 5 seconds has passed

Dont know whats causing this bug, but there were compliaints about that in several forums because of that. Will have a look again at release in 2 months ^^
Consider going frost mage + reaper skeletal warrior. The reaper does a heavy attack that recharges faster against a stunned, frozen, or vulnerable target. The frost mages freeze and make targets vulnerable. Your shadow spells stun targets. The reapers go to town. 🎉🎉😂
Nah, you get more out of +1 warrior. Any additional skeleton is reaping the benefits of 30% your stats and any leggo/skill buffing it. Reaper damage for summon build won’t be stronger than +1 warrior
@@benjaminghazi787 I appreciate your opinion but it isn't known yet which will be better. Frost mages cause full uptime slow or vulnerability, and shadow mages stun often if you spec into it. Reapers deal a heavy AOE swing every 10 seconds, and it recharges 2 seconds faster every time they hit a chilled/stunned/vulnerable target. With all the speed we give our minions, I'd expect that heavy attack to be going off again, almost instantly and again its aoe. You may be right/I think I am right/ We will have to agree to disagree until the game comes out and it can be better tested in an endgame build; but thank you for the response!!
Once you gain the power for mages to have 3 more skeletons your damage is effectively doubled, you can hardcore spec into Shadow for the mages on the tree or spec into all the healing for minions and run them bone for even more damage but i had a hard time keeping them alive for their extra damage bonus so i stuck with shadow.
There is one passive in the ultimate section that say something priest heal your minions every X second for % of their HP. Not sure how that works since there no bone priest or maybe it just convert one of your mages?
@@RexZShadow no, it just converts the active skeleton ability where the priest heals minions for consuming a corpse to a passive 5 second timer which does keep them alive for smaller packs but not big packs. Closest you can get is with blood lance and hemorrhage and hope you can generate enough blood orbs to heal them on top of that priest heal, but then they die to bosses.
I did ice mages and using corpses give you mana, never had to use the basic attack since I was always max out. Also had the reapers giving extra corpses for extra CE damage and mana
I don't know if any one else have noticed. But I think my barb has significant better rare gear drop rate than my necro. I do cultist refuge runs and my barb gets 3~6 orange items each run. While my necro gets 0~2. I don't know why. Could be a bug. Could be intended.

No the Summon skeleton button does them all. as soon as you summon all the melee then the mages are summon then the golem and the when you have everything it gives a buff and heal when used.
No, the golem has its own button and cannot be summoned. The golem automatically respawns 20s after it dies. Activate the skill to use the golem ability (taunt). Activate the summon skeleton to summon first warriors, then mages, then it buffs all your skeletons for 5s of extra damage and heals over time. Skeletons are 1 button, Golem is another

Can someone please test or confirm if the legendary aspect that give minions 70% increased attackspeed and 90 damage reduction during army of the dead, does the damage reduction apply to bone mages dealin damage to them selves? Otherwise all these speed bonuses wil just make bone mages harder to keep alive
No, it would be +4 because the max roll for that legendary power is +2. amulet gives +50% and a 2H weapon +100%. So, +3 on the amulet and +4 on the 2H weapon. :)
The main problem with minions is they're stupid in terms of the ai, even when you're specc'd into life for them and whatnot they still just stand in AOE or get cleaved down very easily. I can't see them being good for endgame, but I might eat my own words. Love your videos and guides. Cheers
Activate 'Advanced Tooltips' and 'Advanced Tooltips Comparison' (or something like that) in options. Don't know why this is deactivated by default. -.- Was the same in D3 and the first thing that should be reactivated. ^^

Apparently Blood Mist's Immune also counts as unstoppable, which allows you to benefit from the legendary power Ghostwalker aspect - "while unstoppable you gain movement speed". I think this would be a nice addition to the build, especially for farming
i personnaly went something a bit simillar but more oriented around shadow damage and minions, will making everything deal shadows damage, taking the shadow damage buff/cc for you and minions, while you target is hit by shadows , transform corpse explosion to aoe shadows damage + blight and didnt take any ultimate but when with the passive under army of the dead that increased the atk speed of your minion and damage, also use the reaper skeleton and decompose to generate corpse when u are on a solo boss without add. everything melt really fast, even more if you have the 2 legendary with +3 mage and skeleton ( which i don't have, only a +2 skel) and other that increase the attack speed of minion.
another funny thing is that the passives for the life and damage of the melee minions in the tree is broken in a good and bad kind of way. the good is that the one that affects the melee also does the mages and the golem. the bad is that the passives for mages and golem do nothing. so good for beta but bad if you were playing the full game.
I think they'll keep. The really broken classes are rogue and barb. Necro is just for easy mode style. Did you see the barb build critting for more than 200k?
One thing I’m enjoying about the beta is to the idea of seeing what items you get and then forming your build around it

I have +3 mages in my Amulet and +2 reapers in Helm, and 52% atk for skellies in 2h. 12 skellies is hellafun ❤ Love your video's Matt!
i found a lvl 27 that gives ice mages a AOE every 10 sec (found after afk'ing the lvl 35 guy) but it did imprint my new item to 27 so i cant use :(

Very interesting. The Blight codex doesn't seem to be on ps5 version. We get a bone prison codex instead. And it's not in our list at all.

If you put +3 warrior legendary on a 2 hander, does it give u +6?
No, it would be +4 because the max roll for that legendary power is +2. amulet gives +50% and a 2H weapon +100%. So, +3 on the amulet and +4 on the 2H weapon. :)

its just random keep doing what you're doing. Gamble gloves, nothing else.
