The Almighty is functionally acausal timeline manipulation. It allows Yhwach to see every possible future and then pluck the outcome he wants from the multiverse of different possibilities. This includes absurdities like traps spontaneously appearing from nothing, objects randomly breaking, bodies just exploding for no good reason, and even coming back from the dead while being dead. Anything that you can imagine happening, a user of the Almighty can make real by plucking it out of some different timeline. It's kind of like Zelretch's Kaleidoscope from the Fate franchise, fused with a Sharingan from Naruto. It can, to a certain extent, be countered by powers that manipulate sight. Kyoka Suigetsu was shown to be able to interfere with the Almighty up to a point, but it doesn't stop Yhwach from using it - it just messes with what he sees. This is why Yhwach could self-referentially resurrect himself after Ichigo killed him with a sneak attack off the back of an opening Aizen provided in the final battle in the manga. In theory, this means Tousen's bankai may also be able to counter the Almighty to some extent, though that would require A: Tousen to be alive, and B: for Yhwach to just let Tousen activate his bankai. But then, reiatsu rule might just cancel it out anyway - a nontranscendental entity *probably* can't affect an Almighty user in that way. The only surefire way to beat the Almighty is to turn it off, which is what the dues-ex machina arrow did in the manga's ending. He gives power to the Schutzstaffel, but especially to Ishida which allows him to break out of the seal he was put into by Senjumaru. It even looks like Ishida is even able to fully control all the power he is given yet, but all of that is anime only, so hard to know. How he beat Senjumaru will be explained later.

Yhwach wants to restore the original world that was one before the Soul King split it into three. That's why he wants to kill the Soul King. It was explained in the start of the episode 24 of the Cour 2.
I dont think we know a proper explanation for senjumarus bankai but so far
I think her bankai puts you into an eternal torturous situation which you have to break out of, if you stay in long it'll actually become real

You gotta remember when Yamamoto was fighting Yhwach, he was holding back a lot to not destroy the entire soul society. 1000 years ago he probably didn't have that kind of restraint which is why he folded Yhwach, even though Yhwach at that time was robbed of his power by Ichibe.
