The claim that Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah converted to Twelver Shia Islam is unfounded and can be easily debunked by referring to his sister, Fatima Jinnah’s autobiography My Brother, Jinnah. In the book, Fatima Jinnah clearly affirms her brother’s religious affiliation with Ismailism, a branch of Shia Islam, and not with Twelver Shia Islam, as some have mistakenly suggested. Moreover, this conversion claim was also firmly rejected by Jinnah’s close friends and associates, who consistently testified to his Ismaili background throughout his life. if he really had converted to twelver shia islam then why did miss fatima jinnah didn't mentioned her brother's conversion in her book? lol she forgot.

Thanks for those references. I have emphasised in the lecture that actually Jinnah never really cared about these sects and their differences.

The Fatmids founded the first University in the Muslim world. The Qarouin was founded by a notable lady of business background. It is perhaps the oldest operational University to date.
They can also be credited with the foundation of the first organized and well funded intelligence agency in the muslim world specifically and possibly in the world namely "the hashashin".
The Fatmids were the first golden age of Islam even before the abbasid Baghdad.
It's a travesty that the GB region despite being the only region to join Pakistan as a result of revolutionary upheaval and armed struggle has not been given a full provincial status under the constitution.
Unfortunately loyalty to Pakistan 🇵🇰 is rarely ever rewarded if you're not from the mainstream.

A Turkish slave who fought with the Indian Rajputs of Maratha became a sultan and ruled as a king. Unfortunately I forget the name and this narrator also doesn't mention him.

Sunni-ism was not in danger as the shia dynasities were not extremely effective in spreading their brand of islam . Eventhough they held political power . The staggering majority still followed sunni islam. Especially in egypt fatimids ruled a country of more than 85 % sunnis. Iran was a centre of shafi'i school of thought up till 16th century .With rise of turks political power returned to sunnis. But in term of followers sunni islam was a majority all along.

@Northfacepakistan In his will, he and TV presenter Tariq Aziz given their fortune to Pakistan. He didn't want to create confusion on his Namaz E Janaza, that's why Maulana Shabbir Ahmed Usmani lead the Namaz. But in case of Fatima Jinnah, No will was there, Sunni and Shia both offered separately. Unfortunate Muslim Ummah.

@ashrafalam6075 where is that will? Why not published? Who wrote that? You know him well or his sister fatima jinnah? Who is tariq aziz? Have you heard from any political scientist, No. Any documentation they have? No. You are like what sunni means still.

It was really an average lecture compared to your recorded philosophy lectures of the past. So many slips of tongue and historical inaccuracies...

This kind of lecture is what we call a survey. It is actually meant to quickly recap (without going into too much details) the over all march of history. The purpose of it is not to go into any details but to set up the listener for understanding the broad brushes of history in the context of which Islamic political philosophy is developing.

Informative lecture. Just some correction, you stated that there were no arabs in Iraq and this is inaccurate, because Al-Hira was an arab christian kingdom prior to Islam and also you had the battle of Dhi Qar prior to islam between the arab tribes in south of Iraq & the sassanids. South Of Iraq is on the borders of Hijaz & what orientalists claim & call the 'arabian peninsula' where migration happened for thousands of years. So it's very inaccurate to isolate 'arabs' to the desert as orientalists have done when they studied the region & divided its ppl into distinct unrelated groups.

@@felixii4931 as explained in the lecture, the Arabs conquered Persia in the Rashidun Khilafat. Thereafter, Persians in what is today Iraq learnt and began to also speak Arabic. Similar transitions occurred all over North Africa. It was the conquest by the Arabs that made Arabic one of the international languages of the world.

@TaimurRahman-English Why haven't Iranians in Iran adopted arabic as their first language then? Iraq was never persian dominated linguisitically.

@@felixii4931 because Iraq became the centre of the Baghdad Khilafat. And Iran was much further east.
