my first ride with new helmet was frustrating, it was fogging up and (with gloves on, I had trouble popping it open for ventilation. installing a fog resistant inner lens. the latch system is not user friendly, there is another video showing how to adjust the shield. I hope that helps with opening it while riding.
I've been having problems with mine. The wind noise is too high for a helmet at this price point. The lack och a chin-cover, and the not too tight neck foam make all that air just blowing into the helmet. Besides from that, the helmet is very comfortable, ventilation is good and the visor mechanism is top notch!
It's my first helmet so it's not possible for me to compare with others but I was surprised just how much wind noise is audible, given the price point. I just wear ear plugs now (which is probably better for my hearing anyway) and it doesn't bother me at all. Other than that, it's a great helmet that definitely doesn't fog up.
Arai makes racing helmets, which prioritise ventilation over sound insulation. You should be wearing earplugs anyway in any helmet on longer, high speed trips.
Can someone, PLEASE do a video on the differences of the different models and which shell shapes they are? I cant find this information ANYWHERE - I need the G shape for round oval and cant figure out which helmet to try, its unbelievably frustrating
not sure if I'm the only person with this issue, but that visor opening mechanism is so unbelievably annoying to operate with gloves. Beside that, it's a great helemt.
Life long Arai wearer here one thing that annoys me with Arai... they do not disclose ANYWHERE what SHAPE each model of helmet is. 7.30 minutes of drivel we already know but take a guess which information is missing? What shape is the Chaser X?! Round oval, intermediate oval, or long oval?! I bet 70 percent of Arai owners don't even know they produce different shapes as they don't publish it anywhere. Agggggghhhhhhhh!!
The interior foam is soft and it kind of molds to your own head shape after a little while. They have tougher outer shells which allows them to have softer EPS foam.
Thank you, finally a demo in detail, not just a "it's so easy"!
Today i bought the Chaser-X Navy Black helmet!!! Seems to be the perfect helmet for me...I think it's a wise decision for my Yamaha mt-09!!

How do you clean the neck roll?
Is it possible to also remove the neck roll to wash it?

TheCodebreakerV8 have you had it long? Mine is much easier now after 9 months and 4000 miles.
@@absinthesugarcube it needs some practice, I'd say. It got better after a few 1000 kilometers, but I still prefer other mechanism.
Do all the cheek pads fit in any arai helmet
TOP !
