What i agree with with virginity testing is that they can see when a child is being raped because children really get raped at a very young age and sometimes nobody can tell because it is done by somebdy close to the child☹
Thank for the conversation, special thanks to Mam Busi, her favourite phrase when you are in her home “Abantu mabaxoxe”. Let’s have the conversations so that people can be healed and for them to know better 🙏
Thank you for the subtitle. Did Gogo just Condemn under ages Girls for being pregnant? Does she even know that most of the time underage Girls are impregnated by GROWN MAN? How could she excuse Male behavior by saying those Children look like grown Women? How can a 9-year-old look or even act like a 27-year-old? How could she say something like that. And why didnt anyone hold her accountable for that statement? Molestation, incest, Domestic violence, Child trafficking, and Rape are happening in this country. And the biggest victims are underage girls. GROWN Men who are impregnating 9-year-old are called Pedophiles. We don't need Virgity testing . We need more control over GROWN men and Young Boys who are lusting over little girl Children. We need real Woman Elders. No Elders who Worship Man. And promot Polygamy and wants African Woman to stay in Violance Marriage.African Woman should never selfsecrefy themself for a Marriage. Our Mothers have done that. And some of them ended up in Depression,Suicede or selfharm.
Opening of this conversation is so key. "What is a girl child/ubontombi?" Obvious in African context... Through such conversations, I believe we can get a common ground of reversing ill systems that are in our lives. We really need to restore our lives
Firstly she didn't emphasis on how testing regarding girls who encountered rape occurs. What initiation processes men go through to prepare them for initiation within the zulu culture. The interview was thought-provoking and informative but it just reflected the patriarchy that persists within culture.
Fair enough, but we will also invite people that can speak specifically to how men would be initiated. We think it would only be fair. Thank you for watching.
I am also very curious about what the end goal of ukuhlolwa is. What happens to the boys or men who touch them with no consent or rape these girls? Who inspects them?
Maybe we should first establish when did culture become patiarchal, was it at the beginning or it's something we got along the way? Also, men are brought up in the way that they have to achieve manhood. You don't become a man because of your genitals, you prove yourself through actions....being a man is a constant journey of proving yourself. Boys are (or were brought up) with the mentality that the ultimate goal is to be a man and along the way uyadodiswa so you learn about the meaning of being a man.
@@senzomajola6805 in pre-colonial Africa patriarchy didn’t exist so it’s something we definitely learnt along the way due to religion , colonialism, etc.

Thank you for the conversation. Would you kindly shed some light on the act of abortion, more especially on dealing with the child that should have been but is not...
I’ve been learning from this channel that as a woman I am my own god. That I am a goddess and I move in a realm that is beyond what the mind can imagine. In the same breath today I’m told to wait in line with several women to serve one man. It’s quite confusing now hey…Which is which?
Wow!!!! Thanks for the information I will needn't watch again this time with my note pad. Thanks to you My Brother for asking relevant questions and thanks To MaKhosi for providing good answers. This had to be one best.

The sex topic is a bit confusing for a young 21 year old male like myself, most of my relationships Do not work out because they say " I'm slow" when it comes to initiating sex in my defence I always tell my friends and peers that for me a relationship is much more than a sex transaction situation

Are boys tested for virginity? The maiden alone should not berate burden of an indiscretion that included a male. Also girls in the culture should be protected, if yo find a girl that is not a virgin- there should be an investigation.
Firstly she is not man where she tell you about male virginity. 2 this girls are not forced as she explains no burden is on anyone expect volunteers. This are the kind of disease she talking about lack of comprehension, misinforming your mind
Can she also shares some insights on the virginity testing for Boys. Are there even any Testing groud for boys.Or is those Rituals only for controlling Girls. And pleasuring African Man
Yes traditionally boys are encouraged to protect their seed, that the longer they stay virgirns the stronger they become until theyre ready to have a family! To never waste it! Only reserved for activities with your wife! Patriarchy is a white man thing to bring about an unbalanced people which we used to be.

Certainly unconventional, especially considering the way life is now & some of the things said especially by a woman. I get the sentiment she's coming from, maybe in some parts don't necessarily agree with the approach. I recently met someone who as a first wife was in a process of find a 2nd wife for her husband. A well educated lady, working for a reputable company. I seemed to be more bothered by her life, and marriage while she was looking forward and seemed happy to have this responsibility. So what Gogo is saying here might be out there for some people but others I appreciate this way of living. If the people involved are happy and have good lives for themselves then I personally should not be bothered. That's my thoughts 😅 may I ask what disappointed you?
