Kevin is my guitar hero. Open tunings funky rhythms and beautiful textures from plexi like face melting gain tones as well as ethereal slow wah wah sweeps and atmospheric delays - he is such a complete guitarist. His rhythm parts define a song in feel and melody at the same time, and his lead tones are so bold, his attack confident- I just love his studio work and in my few interactions online he has been very patiently and kind and generous with his time. Love you kev!

When he refers to him as “The singer.” You know that rift is deep.

Was listening to "Narcolepsy" the other day and found myself wondering who played the awesome guitar on that track. And here he is! Seems like a good guy, and pretty much played the soundtrack to my youth lol

I still listen to the new iteration of 3EB as much as I have disdain for Jenkins. As far as I’m concerned Cadogan is the primary reason why those first 2 albums are still by far their best. Jenkins ironically screwed himself. I only wish Cadogan had a platform to show his talent because he’s one of the most amazing guitarists alive.

Out of the vein is just as good as blue in it’s own right but his influence on red is undeniable.

Jenkins sucks. Cadogan was that sound.

Out of the vein as well as Ursa Major are great albums as well. I get the love for Kevin but some you guys take it too far.

He looks understandably bittter and being very careful about how he phrases things. I would love to sit down with him, over a few beers and have him tell me all the nitty gritty.

3EB never EVER put a classic album out, not even close…after Kevin left. Stephan Jenkins sounds so editorial in an his interviews. That’s why I admire the music, not the artist.

  • @altmexican7079

The band never was the same without Kevin. Kevin's music was never better than in the 3eb self-title. It sucks there always has to be so many hard feelings (no pun intended considering the hosts here) between such amazing artists. Artists generally make shit businessmen.
I agree with Kevin usually in the drama side though. The band got fuckered.

The band put out great albums in Out of the Vein as well as Ursa Major without Kevin. What else did Kevin do in his career though? Seems to me Kevin and Jenkins made a great team. It sucks it fell apart. But to act like Kevin was the end all be all for the band is ridiculous. The 2 albums after him were great as well.
