I was lucky enough to find a battered copy of this at Record Time. I'll never forget how those sounds hit me. I just knew that it was my lucky day, instantly knew this was a rarity and special. Shockwave Records? It was unlike anything I had heard, so much that I didn't know what to do with it. I had only been mixing for a year maybe so just in my infancy. I listened to Drexciya for years before I got the idea to put it and mix it with a track. It was rough. I always wanted to get something to stick with Positron Island but never really cracked that one. Just when you thought that you were in a standard 8 bar pattern the break would only be 6 or something. There were a few house or loft parties that I felt people were cool enough to put Drexciya in the mix. This and the fact that nobody knew who Drexciya was back then made it top shelf material.
