Milton had his farewell world tour last year and when Wayne passed he shared some beautiful words of their lifelong friendship. He said when he played in LA Wayne couldn’t come because of his health but he went to see him and they spent an afternoon together. So much more than music, these guys have a spiritual touch, so inspiring thank you for uploading and sharing your thoughts 🙏❤️🌈
I listen to this team, drink a nice brandy, read poems from the impeccable Neruda, and snack on Godiva and I find myself elevated to a divine presence lying outside the boundaries of this Universe
Gracias Brett...me emociono mucho ver esto de nuevo...Tus comentarios siempre útiles para apreciar a esta música maravillosa....y también llenas de amor para esta música y para los músicos...cómo siempre...❤ Fuerte abrazo Vidal
A concert of this music, with Shorter, Milton, and the Brazilian band was shown ONCE on public television in the NY area years ago. Thanks for the report!
Looking forward to this one JVG. Love "Native Dancer", particularly "Miracle of the Fishes". Another of my favorite albums is "Milton" (with Wayne Shorter), particularly the piece "Saídas E Bandeiras". Though without Wayne, two of my favorite performances of Milton's songs include his duet with Nana Caymmi of "Caias" and Boca Livre's cover of "Caxanga" ... all of the above on RUclips for anyone interested in MPB at its best. Cheers JVG.
Wholeheartedly agree that "Native Dancer" fans should seek out "Milton". Released on A&M in 1976, basically has the same personnel has "Native Dancer" (Herbie, Wayne, Milton's band). Has some of Milton's best tunes!
Wow. That first recording, with Milton, Wayne, AND Herbie! That's golden. I love the music of all three individually, first time hearing them play together. What a gift!
Another gem Brett. Thanks again. Have loved Brazilian music since the early sixties (Getz-Gilberto, Getz- Charlie Byrd, Jobim. Your knowledge is encyclopedic and much appreciated. 🙏
Truth is honestly communicated in any language. Even aliens would learn of t❤he nature of the human heart through experiencing this union. Before Miles died, Milton was expressing his desire to work on a project with Miles-and his tinged apprec❤iatipn for LatinMusic.
One of the best thing of this life. Milton’s voice and Wayne voice together!

Wonderful music. I wish this group had recorded another album. But I'm glad they did this performance. Thanks for putting it up!
