One thing I would add as an essential is a safe. Things happen and god forbid in the event of an emergency where you need to evacuate in a matter of seconds, it’s best to have all your important documents and memorabilia in the same location to grab and go. Also, be sure to make electronic copies of all important documents (drivers license, credit cards, lease paperwork, passport, birth certificate, etc) and receipts in case hard copies get lost/damaged.

Little known fact, it costs more to get a replacement birth certificate, ssn, and passport individually than it does to get a simple safe or fire box.

I was expecting like a laundry hamper or a dining table to be on this list. But now that I think about it, I need an air purifier way more.

I think the shoe rack , air purfier projector and water filter are smart I don't like people tracking the outside I my house. Projector are cheaper than a TV . I don't watch TV but if I have a projector when company over that's works just as well. With asthma and allergies a purifier is a need not a have. Water is essential

1:12 You cannot get surround sound from 2 speakers. If you don't know audio, at least get a sound bar that is 3.1 or 5.1 that supports Dolby Digital or DTS 5.1.
If you do know audio, you're getting your own speakers anyways.

Im sure your intentions were good when making this, and your apartment seems to fit you as a person, but it does seem dark and cluttered, just too much electronics/plastic everywhere, i feel like these essentials were more to impress friends that functionality of the home. Good video.
I went to my friends apartment in ny he went to NYU for dentistry he had all asian roommates that smoked weed but his bathroom was beyond disgusting from the toilet to the sink amd shower just filth and hair everywhere

The pillow cube works because of the way it forces you to keep your shoulder off of your pillow. I don’t understand why, but if your shoulder is on your pillow, even if your pillow is completely flattened by your shoulder and you don’t feel it or notice, it will severely reduce sleep quality. Next time you sleep, check your shoulder to see if it’s on your pillow and it will increase your quality of sleep a lot
