- We love a seasonal tbr, and this one is for Summer! We haven’t had much sun so far in the UK but its on its way and so are my summery books 😊

I didn’t read it, but I know Nabokov’s Lolita is a very misunderstood book. He actually asked for no girls on the cover. Also it’s inspired by the real case of Sally Horner.
I love Rupi’s poetry, it’s so accessible and yet touching. Your edition is gorgeous!

I didn't know it was based on a real case, that throws even more controversy into the mix! I'm really not sure what to expect if I'm honest.

I'm doing well thank you, still awaiting a surgery date but in the meantime cracking on and feeling ok! Things could be worse for sure. It's been nice to film and focus on positive things ☺️

I read Lolita many many years ago and was struck by how much more sexually graphic it was than I thought it would be. It’s a pretty tough read really and I don’t want to give anything away but it will not leave you with a good feeling.
Project Hail Mary is one of my all time favorites! Highly recommend the audiobook as well!

Lolita is definitely worth a read. Probably the most manipulative first person / unreliable narrator in literature! Very well crafted, but super dark.
Interesting, an unreliable narrator makes a lot of sense from what I've read about the book. It will be interesting for sure. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! ☺️
