It's not about being churchy but it is about having a real relationship with God. The main thing is about really knowing God for yourself because when you know God for yourself, He will give you real joy, peace and happiness. God will be everything that you need to get through life when you have a real relationship with Him.
Notes: Acts 17:15-23 God is more than what He can do for us. We can know Him as a doctor in the sickroom, as a way maker .....but do we know Him in the fellowship of His sufferings. People tell us we are judgmental and that God looks at the heart because they don't want the truth. We have to serve God the way He ordained us to serve Him. We can't serve Him the way we want, ignoring certain parts of the Bible because we don't want to commit that part of ourselves to Him. God wants us to submit our issues to Him so that He can deliver and use it for His glory. Any gospel that does not have the power to deliver is NOT the gospel of Jesus Christ. The gospel is not about feeling good but being changed by the power of God. We have to take on the mind of Christ, becoming subject to the will of our God. If we are listening to a gospel that is not pulling us closer to God, we are waisting our time. Examining ourselves by the Word is important. We have been saved 5 years we should have grown and conformed from what we were and what we were in when we first God saved. God is a knowable God and desires to be known. We can't be speaking more doubt than testimonies and claim to know God. That's a spirit and it exposes our ignorance in Him. And the devil wants to hold us in that place. We don't want the revelation of God through Jesus but through our own desires so we can keep the parts of us we want to keep and do what want to do. That's why other God's are made. Why would you want to serve a God that doesn't have the power to make you a new creature? We shouldn't want to go anywhere where we are being told that we have to stay where we are and die in the state we are in. When God brings deliverance, He takes all of those wrong desires and makes us brand new creatures. Jesus is the only way to understand the Father. He said I AM THE WAY. He's the door. We are going to have to go through Him, no matter what anyone says. If we take authority from the Word, it isn't beneficial to any of us. We can't ignore what through Word says to continue doing what we want to do. His Word is settled in the Heavens, so it doesn't matter if we don't like it. At the name of Jesus every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that He is Lord. He will bless us, but it's more to Him than what we can get from Him. Let the rich man glory in riches. We glory in the fact that we have a God who is able to do things for us that money can't buy. Money can't buy our healing when we are sick. Money can't buy peace of mind when we are are about to lose it. Money can't buy our deliverance. We NEED JESUS. Some people just don't want to know God because they don't want anyone to rule over them. They think they can make it on their own. What is it that's so good that we can't let go to serve God. The only sin He won't forgive is blasphemy. The other sins He will forgive, but we won't repent of. Help us Lord🙏🏽🙏🏽 God is not going to make us live Holy. We have to be careful not to grasp knowledge of Him and throw it away becaue we decided we don't want it. Serving something else other than God is a sin. The other god's are made and molded. OUR GOD MADE ALL THINGS, INCLUDING US. ITS SOMETHING SPECIAL ABOUT THIS GOD!! HE DOESN'T HAVE TO TREAT US; HE CAN DELIVER US!! He doesn't just want us on the choir; he wants us to know WHAT we are singing and WHO we are singing to. God is a jealous God. All the other god'sgod's, all the other altars have got to go. God winked at the time of this ignorance at one time, but know He is calling us to repent. Some despise what He says, but some will receive it. We have a responsibility to the ones who WANT the truth.
