NSB Norway - Finse - Trains Above the Tree Line

I had planned on riding a rented bike out on the plateau east of the station and lodge to make videos of the train driving by a top speed. Right after the freight train, I was about 2 km away from the station, a lightning storm appeared in the distance and was heading in my direction. Lightning strikes the tallest object and since there were no trees, that object would be me. It was a race back to the station, not just me, other people too. Riding as fast as I could, walking the bike up the steep hills as my legs felt like rubber, with the thunder getting louder and louder. I made it back just in time but this explains why there are so many views of the train emerging from the tunnel next to the station. My train back to Bergen was not for 8 hours. Finse was a beautiful place to be stranded for the day and the food at the lodge was delicious.
