The video analysis of the Swing Optix cameras are invaluable for overall swing improvements. Tried some of the inexpensive cameras and do not regret spending the money on the Swing Optix setup. Jay, very useful tips on exposure settings, lighting and distance. Thanks for setting us up.
Man I’m stoked on this. I just got the swing optics system with my Eye mini with your help and I needed this video. Thanks brother! If anyone needs anything… this is your guy.
Awesome! Yeah after several emails in a week and one person specifically suggesting an updated video I thought it would be good timing :) Appreciate the kind words as well!
Thanks for this updated video! Couple questions for you; 1) I hit into a net with my video going to a 50 inch TV. Are there sync issues that I need to be concerned with? I know that not all projectors are considered compatible, so I wondered if this compatibility extends to TV panels. 2) You mentioned Uneekor having sales. Do these cameras go on sale? They are obviously not cheap. Thanks!
@@sellnbrew1 It is not that they are not compatible, it is just that the projector image in the slow motion replay can flicker. No, I have yet to see them on sale, I think there is just low margin.
I'm setting up my second simulator, using swing optix cameras. I have always had blur, love your recommendation to zero out exposure. My sim is very dark, and at zero there's no image really. What LED light are you using? Would love to get my head-on looking like yours, my down the line is "good enough" that I don't want to add more light going back towards the screen. Thanks for a great video!
Sounds like you are lacking a lot of light. Most need 2 lights, one face on and one down the line, video quality LEDs. These are powerful to help overcome your dark space like mine. amzn.to/4cIjMsZ
Great video, Jay! I have your same setup, minus the extra bright lighting. I have serious flicker from my BenQ LK936ST. How did you change the frame rate to 120 fps on your Swing Optix cameras? Thanks!
Hi Jay, great video. Just a quick question. Being in a shed, my side view could be as little as 42". Do you think that the camera will still be able to get my golf swing in at that distance?
Thanks Jay! This one and the Balance optix video were great. Curious on the wall mount that you mentioned. Do you have an Amazon link or the name /model of the camera wall mount you use?
Can you send me a link for the face on and down the line lights you are using. I just installed my cameras and I either didn’t install correctly or I don’t have enough lite, but probably both. All I see in the View software is a couple of white lights the size of a quarter and when I adjust the lens it doesn’t get a better. thanks for your videos
2 options depending on the brightness you might need. My room is all black and dark so I need quite a bit. 2 660’s work for most but some need the big ones. amzn.to/3WlLVAj Or amzn.to/3zHXLvX
Hi, I’ve just purchased a 3rd party camera. Appreciate the quality of footage may not be as good as the optix and I may look to upgrade in the future however for now I’m just having a mess around. Do you know if I’m able to use the 3rd party camera with view and still capture footage for each shot taken? Any help/advice would be appreciated thank you !
I’ve been using eye xo/ view/ cameras for the last 2 years and it’s a fantastic bit of kit. However, as someone that analyses almost every swing, it’s incomprehensible to me that they’ve yet to add a ‘loop swing’ / ‘loop club’ button. Yes, it auto plays your swing or club once immediately afterwards, but that isn’t enough for any real analysis and so I’m required to go over to the computer and manually play back the swing over and over again. It is such a painfully obvious and simple feature to add which would dramatically improve the UX. Any idea if this is in the works ?
Exactly! I mean I am putting it to the ultimate test here wearing basically all black is not ideal in a dark room with black walls and ceiling too! BUT, the facts are tons of light and lowest exposure you can do is going to produce the best results. This is confused so much it was great to get this information out there to everyone, a very good suggestion from an email! I should mention, you can raise the exposure and it will be a LOT brighter, but you risk club blur when do so due to lower shutter speed. Thanks for watching!
@@GolfSimulatorVideos thanks for the awesome videos! I'm a new eye mini guy and just tried some cheapo cameras. I still can't afford the swing optix but am looking at other alternatives. How do you adjust the exposure? Is that only for swing optix cameras? It seems that they don't allow those settings with non swing optix cameras from what I can find. Thanks again!
@@jtswenson05 You can only make adjustments on Swing Optix cams. I think this is of course to protect the value of their cameras which makes business sense. I have a new video dropping Monday morning including these and a new product! Stay tuned! :)
I would like to think the video capture looks good on swing speeds above 68 mph. I can't help but wonder why you would demo it with the slowest club in your bag. Perhaps the performance drops off with faster club speeds.

It won’t let you adjust it. You have to adjust the setting with more light and it seems to adjust automatically.

In order for any camera to work that is not a Swing Optix camera it must be a windows recognized webcam.

Also, I cannot find the recommended height for the swing optix cameras. Waist high?
It’s really personal preference but most start at hands high. That’s about where mine are.
What lights do you use? I couldn’t find the tag
