Movies like this and whiplash, just tell people to listen to rude assholes, just because they know more than you. A real teacher is kind, patient, joyful, humble and a cheerful giver.

You're missing the point. That's true if you're a kindergarten or elementary school teacher a.k.a teaching kids.
In some professions like sports, professional cooking, & military, a teacher/mentor/leader figure has to be strict, rough, totally discipline, & demand perfection. They're teaching & leading adults, not kids. Adults are supposed to understand more & manage to hold against big preasure. Just because the mentors are yelling & shouting, doesn't mean they're trying to be rude. It's necesarry to be discipline to create perfection.
In Whiplash, the mentor wasn't just a plain a-hole & being rude for the sake of it. He led a bunch of professional musicians & as pros, they should've known what to do. He wanted the orchestra to play the music perfectly for the audence to enjoy fully, so a slight mistake won't be tolerable, especially if they're supposed to be pros. When his musicians made the same mistakes more than once, he had to discipline them, not nurturing them. They're not kids.
In fact, Burnt was actually really realistic as to what happens in a fine dining restaurant's kitchens. The pressure is always high in such places. Rough, disipline, must be on-time, precise, & perfect to maintain high standart meals. All of that for the costumers to enjoy because costumers paid a lot of money to eat there.
