- My old Skid Steer was in need of an engine rebuild or some sort of fixin on. i decided to re-power it with a modern V twin. Better fuel efficiency, more power, quieter, but mostly easier to start.

Impressive undertaking, looking forward to seeing how it turns out. Should be more power for sure, but as you said, will probably need some lead in the back to keep the backend down :D

How did the variable speed sleeve fit a straight shaft? The old Wisconsin has a tapered shaft
Mine had a straight shaft. Not sure what it came out of, since I bought it b5 years ago.
So u need to make the video more about getting it into that skidsteer than how clever u are as that will speak for itself...o and by the the way if u take the end of the hydraulic pump turn it 180 deg it will change the direction and why not put it onto the front of the engine lot simpler if u got that knowledge withose fancy tools good luck ...o and the engine u took out most likely come out of a swather as the skidsteer engines have a taperd crankshaft and shive not straight...if those engines have reasonable compression they start no problem i fixed mine up just refreshed the rings new bearings gaskets etc no problem starting at -20 but the timing has to be spot on with good fuel supply...the engines tend to run to hot if the timing is out im pretty happy with watt i have done with mine got parts for the engine no problem engines are about if u know were to look ...i did get a 3cyl diesel to put in it.. but made it was easier to fix up the old engine good luck on your venture with that ...
Yeah, weather here is not conducive to get the motor in. That Wisconsin I'm sure can be rebuilt and would be perfect for someone. I may take that on later, but I have sooo many projects right now..
Any help with tightening the drive belt
Homemade video is hard to watch; jerky, unsteady, lots of cutting from one object to another. This video needs lots of editing. Goodbye
