  • Welcome to my captivating woodturning video, where I will transform wenge, purple heart and Australian mallee burl wood into a functional work of art on my woodturning lathe.
In this mesmerizing video, you'll witness the transformation of raw materials into a breathtaking wooden vase.
To enhance the natural beauty of the wood, I applied several coats of natural oil that not only brings out the richness of the grain but also provides long-lasting protection. This ensures that your wooden vase remains in pristine condition for years to come.
Sand the vase up to 400 grit, ensuring a smooth surface that feels as good as it looks.

Apart from the stunning pieces you make, one of the things I most appreciate about your videos is that you just get on with creating, without all the stopping and starting, chatter etc

It was fun to see "plain old" wood turning as an offset to your resin work. Beautiful vase.

Do you do resin work? With such expensive materials it would be a shame for them to go to waste. They would be beautiful in a resin form.

Tipical... If I mix with resin then it is waste, if a turn without resin is a waste. If I leave it my workshop unturned you are happy but than it is a waste for me as just sitting there. you people.. 😂😄
