i recommend Wee Witch's Apprentice for a link, takes 2 dark monsters and gives dark monsters 500 atk/def boost and weakens light monsters 400 atk/def. Also Norito the Moral Leader can be used to summon Ebon Illusion Magician
If I could I wouldn't even run one Dark Magician Girl. It's a complete brick. You only need it for the fusion. And to draw an extra card I hope they eventually remake A Dark Magician Girl that counts as Dark Magician Girl in the deck. And in the graveyard
Sadly i think shes one if the big 4 that wont ever get a full on "retrain". Her, dm, blue-eyes and red-eyes bring in too much cash as is. Sure theres apprentice illusion, mana, alternative white and alternative black but hopefully one day they get retrains
I mean I would still run Dark Magician Girl at one 🤷🏾♂️. Konami gave us lots of freaking ways to summon her from literally anywhere. Think running her at one should be safe. Hell even the voice actor of Yami Yugi would say that's cute at, She is a Brick Card.
Dark Magician decks are a very unforgiving deck type. The more complex you make them the higher the chance of bricking happens. I would focus on one combo and then add support cards to draw or make that combo happen. With the number of spells and traps, having Magician souls almost becomes mandatory. If you cant get that then I would add a "blue boy" and the spellbook engine for drawing. I've seen people just add the spellbooks only and use the starters for drawing.
