Hello Dr Khan, Thank you for your feedback! Much appreciated. No, you should never pay an agency to search for a job for you. The difference is that an agency contacts the hospital directly and speaks with Lead Consultants about NHS opportunities. Hello , Thank you for this informative video. I wanted to ask if I can continue applying directly via NHS jobs after I register with an agency? Is there any restrictions in applying jobs directly after I register with an agency? And Can I approach more than one agency at one time?
Hello. You can certainly continue to apply for NHS jobs if you have registered with an agency. This is actually advised if you are a Junior Doctor. If however you are working with a Specific Recruiter at our Agency and are in contact with them regularly, they will normally recommend that you hold off applying yourself as this could decrease the help we can actually offer you. We wouldn't advise working with more than one agency, due to the fact that if two agencies apply for the same job for you, it can cause issues. Working with one agency, means that they will be able to help you with ALL UK Trusts rather than just a select few.

Hello, Thank you for your video. I shall be sitting for the PLAB 2 exam next month, hopefully, I pass once. I will like to know how long it might take for your agency to match me to a good job if I register with you. I have a friend who passed his plab 2 exam in January and completed his GMC licence reg but up till now, he hasn't gotten an interview set up for him, his agency keeps telling him to be patient at almost 6months after.
Hello there. This is a very difficult question to answer, as the job search for a new doctor can take over a year, dependent on how much experience they have. This is why we always recommend the Royal College qualification route, as it makes your application more attractive to that of a PLAB Doctor. Of course, securing a position after PLAB is certainly possible, it just can take slightly longer. If you have extensive experience, then your job search is likely to be slightly quicker than someone who has PLAB with little clinical experience. It also depends on what jobs are available at the time of application, as new jobs arise all the time.
