What really bothers me about the Accipiters is that they often eat their pray alive until it dies. Falcons tend to break the neck of their pray at the beginning and put their pray out of its misery and Then Eat!! The hawk had one foot on the Magie's head and neck preventing him from striking with his bill powerful dagger like bill, or he could have done some considerable damage to the hawk. This hawk seemed very experienced with handling difficult dangerous pray and was eating really voraciously so must have been very hungry.
I did not hang around long enough to see the end, they struggled a bit and disappeared under cover. I probably could have got closer, but my spaniel was getting very interested in all the noise! Next day i only found one Magpie wing.
Sparrowhawks are adapted for hunting small birds, who usually die as they taken, so it's difficult for them to kill a bird larger than sparrow. Some of sparrowhawks are smart enough to pierce prey with claws until it die or start to peck it from head. Some just catch and eat.
Anybody watches a video like this is definitely not normal mentally. There’s no pleasure to watch a video after one minute it irritates my nervous system 😡
What I do not get is these dumb birds just sit there and swauck! They have a strong sharp beak but seldom use it. I have seen videos of those that did and won.

@My RUclips: yes, I've stood helplessly in my living room as magpies have flown out of the hedge with the eggs and chicks of blackbirds, thrushes, robins and even pigeons. I would have very much liked to prevent this happening (five nests plundered in the last two years alone) but it is very hard to help these birds when magpies strike. I don't wish pain on this corvid, but I am all for their numbers being reduced.

When i See it in real life i break the Falcon the neck and eat it or bite the Bird the head off . What is no currel its natura 😅😅😅

If you use your eyes, you will see that the Sparrowhawk almost always holds its prey's head away with a strong talon,it does this for obvious reasons.
Actually, hawk is lucky, because he didn't lost his eyes.
