It's often fun to imply that conservatives who are seemingly obsessed with LGBTQ+ issues are so because they themselves are secretly gay or bisexual. I have no doubt that some are but also that many are not. In JLP's case, I'd be very surprised if he's not gay. I don't say this to ridicule or insult him - I don't think being gay is a bad thing so calling someone gay is not an insult - but his behaviour really suggests to me that he is fighting against his own nature. The fact that someone so obsessed with traditional masculinity is not and has not been married is not proof but is certainly evidence that this is the case.

I make the assumption that Jesse Lee Peterson considers himself a conservative, a Republican and therefore as an “Alpha” (for whatever that counts), this would mean also a Matt Gaetz, Jim Jordan, George Santos, Lindsay Graham, etc. are also all “Alpha” per definition.
And Peterson considers David Packman a “Betta”, because he is a liberal or progressive.
Well if Peterson (or the ones above mentioned) is the picture of an “Alpha” then I rather be a “Betta” - because in this context the “Betta” is clearly the superior person to the “Alpha”.
And just by calling something “Alpha” doesn’t make it “Alpha” it just becomes wishful thinking and doesn’t make it superior.
It’s like giving something the attribute “Export” (for high quality standard) that is only sold in ones home market, because it didn’t make the cut elsewhere.
The problem is that everyone’s idea of progress is not the same and when someone disagrees with your ideas and those like you then riots protests and public safety issues result from it.

No one who places so much emphasis on convincing everyone that he is an alpha is an actual alpha. That’s a fact.
In a way I can see what Jesse is talking about. Jesse grew up in an era and from a region of the country that masculinity was expressed in exactly the way he was referring to. For instance, the men who set a good moral example for Jesse when he was coming up probably were absolutely not progressive from either a political or a sociological point of view. I.e the greatest generation (the WW2 generation) were definitely not progressive politically. So, from his perspective society has changed for the worse, and he probably is attributing some of those things which he sees as clearly different and somewhat alien to him as a definite reason for a downfall in society.
