@@savageclasher1014 i didnt say anything about being most of it though lol in 19:06 he says that the album is amazing so he liked it a lot anyways 9:43 he also says in tears that he hadnt listened to an album that does it so well for some time so like
Proud of you Brad. The video quality is back to how it used to be and you seem to have passion behind it again. Couldn't have had a better album to listen to either, this thing is a fucking banger
Seeing Brad getting so emotional is both comical and wholesome at the same time. The album is great, this is definitely a great and impactful project from Magdalena Bay, hope more music with this depth get the same praise in the future.
I recall a stream where Brad says he mostly uses the soundboard to fill in when a song doesn't feel complete... But in this video he's constantly saying it feels complete. Makes sense.
The night this album came out, i put my headphones in then laid in my bed and the only light in my room was the phone screen with the album cover. Needless to say, it was a magical, psychedelic, mind blowing experience. Such a HUMAN experience. Tons of fun moments, and tons of emotionally reflective moments. Made me reflect and appreciate every person I am. It really does deserve its praise
this is THE Imaginal disk reaction. They made this album and proved what pop(or alt pop specifically) music can still be, and it has blown me away for months
Me too. Lots of us out there like this. Many don't know how fortunate they are to have a home, car, relationship, money while men like us are barely holding on. Life is cruel
Also very irritating when people that have money and are doing fine complain about prices and driving in the rain while people like me bike to work and back 5 days a week and sometimes have to ride through a downpour. The lucky, fortunate and entitled need a serious reality check to see how the poor have it
You know an album is special when it can move you to tears! When Imaginal Disk first came out, I couldn't listen to anything else for like two weeks. In terms of sheer sonic quality, I've just never heard anything else that sounds like this before.
Brad had the closest reaction to mine of any "react" content. It's not only a masterpiece, it's almost sad that I know it'll be a while until something comes even close to making me feel like this did. Favorite track is watching TV, and I feel like I strip more layers from it with every listen that somehow relate to my life.
People don’t usually mention the reprised melody in she looked like me, end of love is everywhere, feeling discincerted, and Matt and Mica (to name the times I’ve noticed it) really puts a bow on a perfect album for me
I'm 14 months into the sobriety train. When you get past the initial chaos of your body and mind not getting it's fix, and you start enjoying life and art without you're a numbing gaze, it can give you a near childlike wonder and appreciation. This album is wonderful.
Can’t blame you for crying, brother. This is the first record in a very long time that’s punched me in the gut this hard emotionally. It is just that gorgeous.
This album is just so fucking fantastic. It made me cry on public transport too when I first heard it-- fittingly, it was during Cry For Me. It's about learning to love yourself even as you change and that's just so important I'm infinitely glad you care about it as much as I do
Not gonna lie, this album made me realize that I love music too. Vampire in the corner alone gives you such a great euphoric feeling, like if you watched a multiple-awarded movie for the first time in a jam packed theater
@@snora_zzzfor me this is the year where I discovered what I actually want to listen to and added like 800+ songs to my playlist actually awsome year for me
Imaginal discs are the tissue that undergo metamorphosis in insect larva. They are adjacent to the brain in the larval stage, and are what become the fully realized adult insect. Very interesting to have an album, at least partially, inspired by this!
Jesus seeing Brad cry made me cry too. Death and Romance is one of my favorite songs of all time and it kills me seeing someone else connect to it (and this entire album) on such a similar level.
With everything going on in your life, it makes perfect sense this album made you feel the way you did throughout this entire reaction, it was beautiful and so human man. Was tearing up on vampire in the corner. It’s cathartic and just very very wholesome Bradley, life is getting better and the music just heals along the way. ❤ love ya buddy
Almost certainly my personal record of the year and a (very) rare 10/10 from me. Every song on this goes hard, even the interlude tracks. The concluding track, my personal favorite on the album, has some of the most experimental and progressive song structures and dynamics written into pop music in decades.
The way you processed this album is the same way I process the Fishmans live album, so I can understand what it means for you and I loved seeing your first time experience. It’s definitely one of the best of the year, wishing you the best❤
Not ashamed to say I've cried to this album a number of times and cried along with you watching this reaction. This album just tugs at human emotions in all the right ways. Easily my favorite of the year and the most I've connected with an album in YEARS.
I absolutely love this album and it's in the AOTY spot for absolutely sure. First physical CD I've bought in about a decade. All of the sounds are so on point, at all times, it is always funky, always fresh, always driving forward even when it's taking a breather, the album just doesn't get old.
To me this album was a grower, wasnt really into at first but still shocked at how good some of the songs and especially outros were. I was more sitting there with my jaw open sometimes rather than crying, but love your reaction to Vampire lol. A few listens later though, everything has kind of "clicked" and its really great!
Dude I’m so happy you enjoyed this album like I did. 8000 listens (to individual songs) in and it is still just as powerful as the first listen. You can just tell how much passion and power went into this music. Everything from the spotless production to the lyricism and concept is just absolutely flawless. Honestly I don’t think album of the year is enough to describe the beauty of this album. I don’t think I have ever heard an album as gorgeous as this in my life and honestly I can’t see it being topped until they drop again. Thank you, Brad for sharing your first experience with this album. ❤❤
Man I didn’t cry on my first listen but I was close bc I’ve been fed up with a lot of recent music I 10000000% agree this album is so refreshing & good & I was literally waiting with baited breath to see ur reaction bc I KNEW this would be a banger video
This is a wonderful reaction Brad! Imaginal Disk has been head to head with Brat for best of the year since it came out for me and you're very honest and beautiful reaction here might have convinced me this is the best. Tearing up as you are, wow! Also, I'm so glad your back man, missed you while you were gone and I hope all is well in your world! Sorry for the sappy comment, but hey ID brings out the emotions.
A truly phenomenal album, got to give a big thanks to you for introducing me to Mag Bay a while back with you lose. I'm so glad to have caught this on release.
Been waiting for this reaction the second this album dropped. Needless to say this did not disappoint. Definitely did not expect you to cry but honestly that’s such a valid reaction. I’d be shocked if a better album drops this year
Legitimately one of the most well produced albums I’ve ever heard & probably my favorite of the 2020’s so far. Also, their Nashville concert is probably the best show I’ve ever been to
Im enjoying the content so much more, I'm starting to like your personality again 😁. Also this album is so insanely good, I can't believe I waited so long to play it
omg you almost made me wanna cry, this is by far your best and my favorite reaction of yours! I dont always agree with every take you have on albums but i agree that this one was something special, last album that makes me felt this way was brat (for different reasons) and renaissance from beyonce! another album with amazing transitions, atmosphere and queer joy!
