After the battle of Jing Dynasties, the royal priest Jing Qing and his wife are killed. Their oldest daughter Sun Ruowei (Wei Tang), is saved by the vice-general Sun Yu. She tries to avenge her parents but meet Zhu Zhanji (Yawen Zhu). After she sees the dark side of Ming politics, she decides to give up on her revenge and help Zhu Zhanji become the Emperor to save Ming Dynasty.

The scene between Xu Bin and Rouwen is the most moving in 39 episodes. I admire their constant and continuing love, the way they found to express it without crossing boundaries of promises owed to the Emperor, and even the Emperor for giving them a chance to say farewell.
Zhu Yawen so so handsome plays this almost ruthless young emperor beautifully! He exudes great confidence and power! What a delight!⛩️👍❤️❤️
I hate the fact that the sister is covering up for her even though I know that as a sister she should stand up for her, but how dare she smuggle a man into the palace ? So she was hoping to get pregnant for a commoner and impose it on the emperor, and then the child who has no royal blood would have become the crown prince? who does she think she is?
The worse is how bad she pays back to Sun Ruowei throughout her life. Really evil lady.

I watch a lot of Chinese historical dramas, but I have never seen one that is so disrespecting to Zhu Zhangji and his father both as emperors, old Zhu Di would not have put up with his cabinet officials behaving the way they are to the grandson. The scenario of this story is so confusing. The young emperors voice has changed, one minute he’s decisive the next to his ministers about his goal for the country, but not clear why his ruthless uncle should not be given compassion.

I like Zhu Zhanji but he isn't perfect. If he really loved her, he would have tried to help Xu Bin and Sun Ruowei run away together as soon as their business was finished. Not saying he doesn't love her though... he really does but I think he also came to terms with it that a piece of her heart will always be with Xu Bin and that she is there with him because of her responsibility to the orphans and to the people to hold it together for the royal family. She doesn't really live for herself anymore or for her own contentment, and expect that Zhu Zhanji doesn't really either as the emperor.
I can't believe how stupid the ministers are wanting to release Han? They should know the threats and the murders and crimes he committed? And how he wants to take over the throne and kill his only nephew. And what disappoints me about the emperor how he choose his Queen and still fall for her scams. After what she did. He should never accepted her and just accepted her sister she the better one and most loyal one too. Ministers talk about law they shouldn't kill, but Han is aloud to kill even if it's his own nephew the emperor. What you all going to say then? Or if he imprisoned his nephew and or set him up make him look like a criminal or have him killed by someone else. For a military leader Han is a big cry baby

I hate Zhu Zhanji's mother's voice. I mute the sound whenever she speaks. I was distracted with something before I finally got fed up and muted the sound, now my ears are hurting. Believe me. My ears are that sensitive. Tha high pitch voice is a killer, and then when she raises her voice. Game over.
