    SHOPPING AND RECIPE GUIDE
This recipe is one you'll reach for time and time again and will re-create based on your own personal taste preference.
I recommend you make it once, test it on family and friends, and continue to tweak it until it's unique to you!
Before beginning this recipe or any recipe, I encourage gathering all required ingredients, prepping and staging them so they are at the ready. You will want to use this same technique to gather needed equipment. These two simple "prep-steps" make cooking 1000 times easier than hunting and prepping ingredients as you move through a recipe.
    Let's begin...
    STEP 1: Gather Ingredient List
    • 1 clove peeled garlic (or more to taste)
    • 6 oz sun-dried tomatoes in packed oil - whole or slivered
    • 1 can S&W garbanzo beans in packing liquid (or brand of your choice)
    • 2 tablespoons Tahini paste (or more to taste)
    • Zest of one lemon
    • Juice of half of that lemon (set the other half aside, as you may need the entire lemon, depending on preference of tartness)
    • Salt - start with 1 tsp (or more to taste)
    • Cumin - start with 1/8 tsp (or more to taste)
    • 1 tablespoon olive oil - (or more to taste)
    • 2 tablespoons of water to smooth paste (you may need more)
    STEP 2: Gather Needed Equipment
    • Food Processor fitted with blade attachment
    • Spatula to scrap down sides of processing bowl
    • Tasting spoon(s)
    STEP 3: Begin Recipe
In the food processor, fitted with blade attachment, add:
    1. Garlic clove
    2. Sun-dried tomatoes
    3. Pulse until a paste starts to form
    STEP 4:
    1. Add canned garbanzo beans + packing liquid, tahini paste, lemon zest and juice, salt, cumin, olive oil
    2. Pulse until smooth
    a. This could take 2-3+ minutes
    3. Add water and continue to pulse until smooth
    STEP 5: Taste, Store, Enjoy!
    1. Taste for flavor, adding more salt, cumin or lemon as necessary
    2. Store in airtight container
    a. Hummus should last in the fridge for up to one week
    3. Serve with:
    a. Pita thin chips
    b. Assorted raw vegetables
    c. Use as a sandwich spread
    d. As a side with cooked chicken
    Enjoy!

Didn't know about the tahini and cumin. I will drop some knowledge on that next time I'm awkwardly trying to make small talk near chips and dip.
