Glad you mentioned the distraction Lucio, it really does work well. It's lowering the damage your team is taking by making the enemy waste time trying and failing to kill you, and if they ignore you then you can go full dps Lucio and kill backline, it's win-win.
IMPOORTANT NOTE ABOUT LUCIO SURF: Most lobbies of surf use GravSpeed, which increases Lucio's speed by 1.25x and lowers gravity to 80%. NOT good practice for specific rollouts, though good to just have fun shmovin and groovin with Lucio
You can actually change the settings of the gravspeed, you can set it to normal if you want to, i don't remember what You had to do to change it but it's useful to make realisitic rollouts

this wasn’t covered in the boop section but you can actually stop junker queen’s ulti dead in her tracks by booping although it will still hit you (idk if stopping her ulti is intentional). also, if a Reinhardt is charging at you, you can boop to displace him (it will NOT stop him) by trying to shove him into a wall or to delay ur demise
if u fell fancy u can always try to boop a charging reinhard over your head. It is iffy and you may hit your own mercy by doing so. But it's always way to funny.
I once booped back a Rein that wasn't even aiming at me, and he used the opportunity to adjust his trajectory and get both me and the guy he was aiming for at first ... lessons were learned that day
I learned all my Lucio skills with Eskay, but this right here is prolly the best summary all together. Everything I could think of was mentioned and you showed every aspect of Lucio. So now I am even more compitent at feeding the enemy roadhog, thx frogger!
0:30 from my experience, wall jump on release helps a lot on controller, since you dont need to press your jump button twice makin it easier to wall hop and helps you not break you controller
That's how I started out, then I switched jump to my left trigger and eventually switched wall jump on release off as I found I was having troubling in doorways and small spaces, which would lead to more deaths. Having the option to not jump is great when you need it, of course play with what works well for you, this is just my thoughts on it

I feel like one of the key ways (from my experience at least) of playing Lucio while making sure you have fun is to be flexible during matches, but that's just me. My main reason for playing will always be to have fun, if i'm not having fun, why play.

one other important bindings tip is scroll down for jump. you have it bound so im surprised you didnt mention it since its such an important part of making your wallriding smoother
Something that I like to do is after booping someone into the air their trajectory becomes much more predictable and you can land 3 hits or even headshots accurately before they hit the ground.
My tip for PC players is to bound a second key to jump (in settings right next to your normal jump key). So i normally use spacebar, but when i am doing a rollout (ie not shooting anyone or dodging) i can use mouse scroll down for a smoother rollout.
For those wondering what controller Lucio keybinds are standard here you go. (xbox btw) LT: Jump Rb: Boop A: Amp Everything else is normal This allows you to be able to wall ride better while still being able to aim without having to play claw (bleh)
Best Lucio ult I ever did was literally saving my team from a DVa bomb. I heard “nerf this” and I instantly dropped the beat. Pretty sure I pissed them off lol. My favorite is when I tilted a sigma with my zenyatta ult though. I stood back discording the enemies to help my team. As soon as he mentioned the melody, I purposely got lifted up just to save my team. He targeted me the rest of the match 🥸 Lucio and Zenyatta have the craziest team saving ults and I love it.
so for wall riding, there is some information you missed. When looking down you go faster off the wall jump, and when looking up you go slower off the wall jump.
THE BEYBLADE. how have I not learned that in my 7 years of maining Lúcio life (I'm not that good on Lúcio but he is just easily the most fun character in this game and I don't see anyone passing that, at least for me).
If you start a beat drop on the ground but land on the cart or some small obstacle it means you are in the air a shorter period of time and thus less risk of getting cancelled/killed.

I used to use claw grip for A-jump and just switched to bumper jumper settings and it's honestly great for a DPS lucio, so much more mobility and aiming. It almost makes him boring because there's no challenge to ride and shoot
For controller players the best thing you can do for Lucio to give better control is to swap the X and L1 on PS controllers (A and Left Bumper for Xbox) so you jump with L1/Left Bumper and crossfade with X/A. Makes maintaining the jumps so much easier.
the crossfade spam is something I do too, but it was something I picked up, and I've been doing much better since I have, I only do it when I'm in danger or contesting a point and it works very well, for me at least
I loved watching this because I learned a lot from just watching frogger for so long that when this came out I just watched to listen to frogger yap and see if I'm doing good
Also worth noting, dont get into the habit of reloading constantly. for dueling it is super important to have full ammo but after a while of playing lucio I ended up with a bad habit of reloading whenever there isnt an enemy on my screen. and I mean that, like id be spamming main and their hitscan goes into cover for a split second and I press R. in low pressure situations like backline spam, Do empty your whole mag.

My best advice (im far from top 500) only heal if a team mate/s are critical or on downtime between fights and if your close to spawn try fetch and escort slower team mates like hog, bastion or your fellow support
That Lijiang Tower roll out is the best, I got a triple off the bridge a couple days ago. I’m up to 100 environmental kills today. Every Lucio main lives for the boops lol.
I'm a console Lucio, and the button I use for jump/wallride is the Right Thumb Stick button (R3 for the PS players). This works for me because I can aim while wallriding.

I found for lucio on controller if you use the claw grip the controller (with your right hand) on the A so you use your index finger instead of your thumb you can turn and wall ride, it feels wierd at first but it does work. It makes it harder to amp but thats on an 8 second cooldown so I doesn't really matter.

You don't heal, you don't damage, you don't MIT, you don't KDA, you do nothing!" After that slander, we finished the game with the same KDA stats and the same averaged out damage and heals, plus my own mitigation. Stats don't matter, but because they mattered to that person, it made me laugh. How dare they insult my boy.

No other hero gives you that feeling that Lucio does when you’re popping off. Definitely my favorite support that I’ve picked up by far.
