Just seeing beautiful clips from this musical bring me close to tears and I've never even seen it! Best quote from this video 'Sondheim is the history of the musical theatre right now'

I too love ALL Sondheim's music, and I can't wait for the Walt Disney Concert Hall production in March, 2020!

@Pikminlinkfan23 I know! Julie Andrews is the one doing the voice over. I actually spoke with Mr. Patinkin about Sunday during an open forum and master class. He said he really loved working with Bernadette Peters.

@T4Tyson ... I started to freak out inside cause I had snuck in and wasn't even supposed to be at the open forum. I told him the truth and he asked me to come anyway and gave my name to the security guard so I could get in. That's where he talked mostly about Sunday. If I remember he also talked about writing his own music and how fun it was to be the one in charge, creatively speaking. That was in '02 and I remember him being super nice, generous, and patient with us.

@Pikminlinkfan23 Nah. I just ask him a general question about the show. I was still in shock that I was able to even get in the master class. Kind of a funny story. I worked in the box office for A.R.T. part of
Harvard and saw a flyer that he was giving an open forum. I talked my way in even though I wasn't a student. I asked him some question about acting and then he said that I would learn more if I came to his master class....

Let's take a moment to thank James Lapine: if it hadn't been for him, Sondheim might never have written another musical since Merrily We Roll Along. They would mean no Sunday In The Park With George, no Into The Woods, no Assassins, no Passion and no Bounce/Road Show.
