All of these videos make me realized I need to make a Pally and do the Ashbringer-related quests. They crammed so much lore into one weapon, I feel like I'm missing out
The hidden skin for the Ashbringer was basically a call back to how players thought you'd get the weapon back in vanilla (killing the blob and getting the item from the lich among other stuff)
Here's a tip for the hidden skin! Once you come to the hard parts: the *Slime* and *Fishing* , you can cheat the Slime this way: make a character on the lowest pop server you can find, bring him to Western Plaguelands (no need to be on the Slime spawn location, just enter the zone), then make a group and log out. Get on your main pala and enter the group, server hoping will do it's job and you will probably see the slime in front of you. That way you save hours of respawn time! No way to skip the fishing part, even tho I got it on the 3th cast hehe
@@AsprosOfAzeroth The fishing part is easier than in Legion i think, most people nowadays don't need a thousand cast to hope to get it ("x ... Plus the slime is way easier to find alive nowadays, so it's not that bad to do.
Pandaria's "Secret Aerie" was originally going to be a part of unlocking Flight in Pandaria. The original plan was to include a rep grind with the Faction "People of the Sky" by doing dailies at the Secret Aerie. This was all scrapped due to Mists' rushed launch, when they simply made [Blessing of the Four Winds] purchasable from the flight master at level 90.
Just wanted to let everyone know that I used to eat Taco Bell and listen to these videos, so now every time I watch these videos my first reaction is that I need Taco Bell
I recently found out that the Hinterlands has got a semi hidden path into the Western Plaguelands in classic. I never knew and always thought that the Hinterlands were this closed of region with only one small entrance from Hillsbrad.
Cool! This is a series that will have plenty of material to work with. Hundreds of Easter eggs and interesting little-known stories have been added to the game over the years. Also, three cheers for Har-bringer _[sic]_ Balthazad!
There's a drogbar named Ogdrul near the hunter order hall hidden in a cave, trapped in some kind of rune binding. He's got heavy corruption effects on him and is wielding what looks like Rhok'delar, the epic hunter weapon from vanilla. Before 7.2.5, if you tried to talk to him it would say he'd be grateful if you freed him, but now it says there is no way to. He's got no purpose, but would be cool to see in a video.
What about the spot in tanaan jungle that had random laughing skull orcs and draenei in one spot. also theres a random bloodelf there with weird dialog .
Maybe my memory is failing, but was the secret aerie not used for the questline, where Chen tried to cleanse Vol`jins poisoning after the "Dagger in the dark"-scenario? As far as i recall you had to ask the hawkmaster for an antidote and he would sent you to collect needles from the forest imps.
Mop was truly an expansion based on exploring new lands in a way that was fresh and not rolling in a big bad at the start. A lot of ways it felt similar to vanilla for me personally.
I miss the "escape a dungeon" videos where people break the dungeon boundaries and go explore the "adjacent" zones (which are cut and pasted from the actual game world). Also I guess I haven't really played the last patch as I don't even know what a HV of Orgrimmar is. Do you have to just wait until it appears on the Kalimdor map? Or is it accessed through Pandaria's entrance or something?
You should do a video on the weird cat-dogs in Stormwind. In the Gilnean refugee area near the embassy for the allied races there is a farm with cats running around. You can pet the cats if you get close to them but when you mouse over the cats, their tooltip says dog.

Great idea for a series! Maybe in a future video you could talk aboit Shatterspear Village? My husband and I had a fun little adventure reaching it pre-Cata :) I was so disappointed when Blizz didn't do anything with it post-Cata.
Ah. Thanks for this. I remember the rumours about the fishing quest related to the Ashbringer and how it brought forth a ton of rumours concerning it. This sheds some light into it.
In the second floor of a small Boralus house there’s a group of 3 named wizards with unique dialogue, I stumbled across them one day and assumed they were a reference to something but never made the connection myself. Maybe you could look into it? I love hidden things like this, so I’ll definitely keep an eye on this series.
i think the secret airie was probably meant for a scenario (remember those 3 man things from Mists!?) but probably also was just flavor. a lot of little places like that were used for those in mists
Secret Aerie seemed like a new version of shatterspear village from vanilla to wrath. once cata hit it was a quest location and everyone was sad. So we got a new hidden village.
I love the secret little areas in which players have no reason to come to, WoW should really have more of them. I love it when they add things that are just flavourful and exist simply for the sake of exploration.
I hope they do something really big with undercity/lordaeron, I love that place. Its where I started my first world of warcraft journey over 15 years ago...
Suggestions: 1) In Outland, Zangarmarsh (at the border of the zone , east) there is 1 big mushroom-tree that stands out from all the others. Why? Because it has a cloud of ..something resembling ghosts? circling around it at the top. I have no idea if there is a quest connected to it, or just totally random. But it seems strange. 2) In the old Tirisfal (maybe in the current version too, havent checked) BEHIND the scarlet monestary. There is a tree with 2 tiny skeletons. The skeletons are way too small, even for gnomes. I always asumed they were supposed to be "fairy" skeletons. 3) Dreanor. When you look at the Landmass of Dreanor on your map, you can see something that looks like a piece of another landmass beyond the ocean. I have tried to get there once but died to fatigue and invisible walls. I have no idea wether there is something there. 4) Dreanor's moons. Dreanor has at least 2 moons. 2 of which you can see almost everywhere. But in certain areas there is a THIRD moon visible. Is it just an overlooked error? Could it be more? 5) Dreanor (again). In certain areas in Shadowmoon Valley, the big moon starts to glow brighter and brighter. When in the right spot, it almost looks like there is a strong lightsource (like a sun) right behind the moon. I don't think this phenomena was explained in the game.
Hi there! Please check the place where the Undead come out in Battle of Mount Hyjal raid (first boss area). I was exploring that once and got curious :) Surely an unknown side of WoW
Video Suggestion! Something along the lines of "Top 10 weakest damaging abilities in WoW" Basically, in earlier stages of WoW, some abilties were simply ignored due to the fact they were weak. For example, in WoW 3.3.5, Hunter's Arcane Shot was NEVER used in end game rotation, as the abilities itself did no scale off Armor Penetration. So it was better to use GCD to cast Aimed Shot. This is for PvE though. Another suggestion "Top 10 LARGEST(or Smallest) mounts (or pets) in WoW".
What about the guys who are painting in Northrend? It’s in the mountains around the Malygos raid. I believe they’re like directly south on the map. Don’t know if it’s a reference but I thought it was pretty neat to find.
if you fly to the very far west side of Zuldazar theres a massive Cove, and in the cove is some sunken tuins, if you swim down and explore the area you can find a bunch of tortollan NPC and even an tortallan wedding !!
