- This is one of the jigs that I use most when planing small parts. It is a very simple mix between a bench hook and a shooting board and it makes getting accurate right angles super easy.
If you have a plane you have to have one of these! I made it with very few tools to show that you don't need much to make an accurate jig. I truly believe that this is the single most useful jig for hand planing.

Consistently beautiful work and solid editing… channel deserves a lot more attention… but the level of effort to produce this level of quality will inevitably be recognized and rewarded eventually..
I would probably use a drill press at the very least but I definitely respect and appreciate the use of hand tools exclusively…

Thanks, I’m glad you find it useful! The drill was made by Ixion in Germany, as far as I can tell in the 1930s. Hey made a video about it when I got it. But I also couldn’t find much Info on it.
