Some very interesting sounds you came up with here. This is exactly where hardware synths shine above most soft synths when it comes to fast and spontaneous creativity. Thanks!
DIN MIDI 4 life! haha But this is really cool! Digging what I've heard and seen from Dreadbox, I may just have to snag one of their synths sometime soon! The lil demos in this were great man, that bass sounds super killet! 🤘🐀
I also hate 1/4 to 1/8 adapters so I instead got a bunch of 1/4 to 1/8 adapter cables, which are much nicer and solves the thing. Also works a charm for sending mono instruments into eurorack if there is enough drive on the instrument or some extra gain in a module
dreadbox are cool asf no doubt. I recently let go of my Nympes bc I was getting some usb ground noise when paired with a bunch of other gear. I loved how it sounds and its size but it was hard to use live..
Ah dang, that's a shame. I've never had an issue with the USB noise on the Nymphes. I did with other synths and ended up using a USB ground loop isolator though doesn't seem to do the trick with all of them.
I've been contemplating getting a Hades for the longest, but keep thinking, despite its different 3-pole filter, it overlaps too much with my Moog Mother-32 and Subharmonicon, which I can also set as an oscillator with two suboscillators or all six oscillators. Now, the recent reissue of Nyx has gotten my attention as I really want a Dreadbox. Well, other than their Kinematic pedal that I have 😂
Ah the Nyx is awesome. I just got one of the reissues and it has so many routing options you can get some pretty cool, unique sounds. Definitely one to consider! The Nymphes is excellent too as a poly.
The problem, i have with this synth is, that a fast envelope (short decay time) changes the pitch of the osc. Depends on the amount of decay and changes the pitch more than a semitone…..
@@StephenMcLeod no I meant repair and sending free parts…. At least before the buy out. I love dread box their old yspilon module I use it all the time and the alpha.
I got my Nyx reissue 2 days ago. Very inspiring unusual features for a subtrctive synth. Dreadbox kicks ass!
I got mine as well! Putting a video together on it as we speak...
Seconding dreadbox support as being fantastic.

So much love for a synth ❤
I do love the Hades.
Sounds awesome! Also big fan of the googly eyes on the knobs 👀
hahahaha thank you. Love a googly eye.
Awesome stuff !!
Thanks Gene!!!

Thanks for watching!
Thanks Stephen ,great work as ever. P.s Where did you get specs ? They are very cool .
Thanks! They are designed by Mark Mothersbaugh from Devo.
@@StephenMcLeod I should have guessed.I am a big Devo fan.Cheers fellow spud, I will check those out right now.
Are they the Silver Akronite HV2 .Did you buy them as sunglasses and get them converted ? Thanks a lot Stephen .😎😎
@regplasma7906 silver Mutator HV2. And yeah I got them as sunglasses and reglazed!

Gimme a shout if you ever consider it and we can talk about which one would be best!!

That's actually a really smart idea. And so simple. Thanks for the tip!
@@StephenMcLeod you're welcome 🙌 Thanks for all the vids, always a great hang
Hats off to Dreadbox!
You can leave your hat... off?!
Dreadbox makes great gear. I love my Nympes and Typhoon
Those are both awesome as well!!
The wavefleeps sounds so squoogley from Hades. Excellent
Exactly
I literally just added one of these to my Sweetwater wishlist before this video went up.
I am spying on you.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on the Oxi One.
I also sold my Hades, but kept the Erebus.
I love the Oxi One! I've been using it constantly. Here's a video I put together on it not long ago - ruclips.net/video/bYVjVAOIEV8/видео.html

Nuffin my Synth Brother of the highest esteem! I was just laughing at small town’s gregarious chanting and satanic musings.

Hmmm that doesn't sound right. I would drop them a message to check.
@@StephenMcLeod can you doublecheck that on your synth?

I avoid USB noise by plugging into an adapter... on my power strip
Smart, though I genuinely haven't had any USB noise issues with this one or the other reissues!
I support all fluff tuppers.

@@StephenMcLeod It’s just nonsense, but on purpose and for the hell of it.
The chunky sound demo segment sounds chunky indeed. (;

😮 Are you going gray?
Had white in my beard since I was 23!!
@StephenMcLeod it's a mark of being distinguished. At least, that's what I tell myself. Great vid.
@Pro-gressive I'm a distinguished mothafuuu
Moog did that as well
Bass synths? Aye! Much more expensive mind you...

Aha! Yeah those old modules were great. I had one yonks ago. Can't remember which mind...
