As a long time user of various progressive presses, this is the most complex press I've ever seen. Rather intimidating. I can understand why FA took sooooo long to get this perfected and released to market. I hope it works as well as advertised.
I would not say intimidating, but rather over engineered. But, that's not a bad thing imho. Every single feature on the press has been very well engineered and thought of. As I am assembling my X10 right now I found that FA did some clever things on this press not found on any Dillon press I own. Obviously this press is not for the beginner reloader. Once you got tru the setup process you will know what part of the press does what. Once you strap an auto drive on it it will show its full potential.
I was going to buy another brand progressive. Well I had not realized the smart engineering that went into this. As a design guy myself I was digging the balance not just in one area was it thought through but seems like 9 out of 10 areas. Well here comes the big test using it.
Gavin, as the "Ultimate" expert on all things reloading, can you share your thoughts on the broken bearings that are still surfacing right out of the gate on some of the new purchases not just the original 50, despite the assurances that this was addressed with a new arm and cam design. What should we do? Should we just go ahead and replace/upgrade the bearings or has FA taken care of that? Sounds like they have not.
is there any issues with the priming system, i heard bad things about the priming. also what's your thought between this and Apex 10 ignoring price difference thanks
Mine has a ton of grease on the threads too. I have to say the powder measure I received was complete TRASH and they sent me out a new one I haven't received yet. Anyone else having problems with the powder measure getting sticky

Doe they send an install and training team with every purchase? I hope it's more reliable and not overpriced like their vibra-prime.

How much degreasing do you recommend from the tool head and other major components? My machine came slathered in grease.
