@@notserp1836 yup.
Too true my friend …peace and love to you 🇺🇸
I remember hearing this song a lot on the radio when it was first released. It continued being popular throughout the year of 2006/2007. It is nostalgic for me now. It reminds me of being a carefree teenager of 15, going to a snooker bar with my friends, drinking Pepsi, and eating chips. Worrying about the future, school, and trying to connect with girls and diminish my social awkwardness. Good times. A British youth faded in time.
I was 18 years younger when this song came out. Boy, what a great time back then. Now I am 36. Man, what a shitty time in wich we're living today! 😑
I was 21
These were defo better days.
With you there dude, saw them at the Double Door in Chicago back in 05 or 06, was awesome, great times back then
My dad used to play this in the car all the time when I was younger. I'm glad I''ve finally found it
I am so happy to say, this is now me as well. I've spent the entire day looking for this :)).
What his career no his car stereo
That’s exactly how I found this song too
Exact same memory for me used to always hear this in my dads such a nostalgic song
Hello there
2024 still listening, doesn't get old
This song is just pure nostalgia of long drives in the British countryside at night coming home to our small humble home looking out the window and having day dreams about America
This was a time. Lily Allen, Duffy, The Streets, Amy Whinehouse, Corin Bailey Ray, The Kooks, Razorlight, Bombay Bicycle Club, The Hoosiers, Kasabian, the list goes on pretty much all bringing our their debuts in the same year some of them living round the corner or just seeing them around London all the time actual artists on MTV singing in British accents such creative moving music it was so new and different like our generations Brit Pop- we were spoilt. I miss it. And we all thought the Killers we’re British hahaha the good old days.
It was a shit time. Literally every band you listed were poor and the music scene at that time was dire.
Same i guess. It is definitly the geniration i was ment to be in. Todays "music" is basicly white noise, a constapation groan, and "musicians" forcing what they think is right or wrong and basicly their opinions down out throughts.
The Hoosiers?! LOL.
@@DancinJim your music playlist consists of the who, tame impala and greta van fleet, be quiet
falloutgirl902 the automatic and scouting for girls
Razorlight,a great band who never really got the attention they deserved!
I totally agree with you, they are so underrated! I remember hearing this song when it came it, I so loved it :-)
Are you kidding? From 2004-2007 they were one of the biggest bands in the country, 5 top 10 singles, 1st album 4x platinum, 2nd album 5x platinum. They got loads of attention.
yeah but only in England
+moe17moe Yes here in italy nobody know them... i discovered it in london 10 years ago... after that i feel this Song part of me
the band became famous quick and faded away quick... a UK No 1 single only got 6 million views!
Never heard a song of which the lyrics remained this relevant.
Such a brilliant, satirical, textured song. A total classic.
😂😂😂😂😂
@@daytonaschmidt4472 What's funny? This is a complete classic

Just a brilliant song, love Johhny's voice . Great band
It really is almost impossible to adequately describe how beautiful this song is.
I’m sorry but this has to be the most underrated song of all time
It was number 1 in the uk dont think you can call it underrated?
@@henryj8363 I’m from the UK i know, but apparently no one knows about it anymore
@@eliblake2756 you could say that about hundreds of songs.
@@henryj8363 it’s an opinion, I like this song, I think today it’s underrated.

This song will get more recognition once it's used in some cool movie or show
I think it’s pretty recognised
14 years ago, they were not wrong.
Thought this song would have way more than 13mil views, amazing song

Reminds me of Cornwall when Radio 1 was actually good, played this a lot. Great tune
2024 classic
The song I will always associate with my Step Mum who sadly passed away just before Christmas ❤❤❤
💓
I was surprised to read the wikipedia page for this song and learn that it recieved negative reviews, it's so good!
2024 check in for this timeless ballad
All my life there's panic in America.... Such an underrated song.
And I'm back 10years later lol. Jeez . These guys need to play live again.
Damn, i remember listening to this from my iPod as a little kid. Just starting elementary, parents were still together, my sister who is now a grown-ass teenager was just a newborn baby. Life was so simple.
One of my all time favourite songs I reckon. These guys definitely deserve more appreciation
It was early 2008, I was passed out on my friend's step-dad's floor after getting pissed for the first time. I had a hangover the size of America itself and would have remained firmly in the foetal position for the whole day had it not been for my friend's polyphonic version of this song playing for what seemed like the 28th time separated by ten minute intervals after he'd set it as his alarm. My eardrums and brain as a whole have a permanent imprint of this song and I can't hear that riff without smiling. Nee-nee-nee-neeneenee
Did you play Snakes game on his Nokia 8210 after the Polyphone Ringtone stopped? :D
My youngest son 16 years old has just been to their concert in the U.K. ❤️
April 10 2023
This song will always bring me back it's my time machine
Still listening in 2021!
2021????
Here from being like 18 at time of release xx
Possibly one of the greatest songs in history.
When I first heard wire to wire I was just another 17 year old boy having no access to the internet nor had any money. Now I am grown 27 and I always had the song stuck on my mind. It was not the only song I was determined I would listen to once I grew up and had money of my own. It's a different kind of life out here for me at least. Nobody would know.
These are just pure gold. The bands and music from 2000s. It's like these bands were giving out their last big first shot.
POV - It's 2007. I'm 10 years old and just finished watching a re-run of "My Parents Are Aliens" on CITV.
I've signed Carlos Vela on my FIFA 07 career mode save on PS2, because I read on a forum that he becomes really good after a couple of seasons.
This song is blasting on the kitchen radio.
And with the riots, a song that never ages.
I can't believe this was released in 2006. Time has literally flew by.
Yes... I think the same
2006... good times.
Hahah you blinked, now it's 2022.
One of the greatest songs of the 21st century so far!
2023. The world is not better off. Take me back to these days.
My favourite band, takes me back to the good old days 😊😊
Was 8 when i heard this, reminds me off my Dad, RIP
Harry Elliott keep on going, your dad will always be with you 😊

This song just needs to play in the right movie and it will be eternal..
The next terminator or zombieland movie
Yea either opening scene or endin
I can still remember joining the same stage with them.. Time flies by….But am honoured to have played on the same festival!!
Still hits in 2023
what an underrated song it was...
Critics savaged this. I found it hilarious, especially "Allowed a cigarette 'cause I can't get no sleep".
2006: Annus mirabilis
2013/4: Annus horribilis.
I was seven (dare I say that?) when this was in the charts. Back when I learned times tables and not calculus or surds!
9.4/10 ("Amazing"), both for the nostalgia and the fact it's a brilliant song.
what a stupid comment that was...
With whats going on , this song comes to mind and here I am. Sort yourself out America, we know you can do it.
the bill has to be paid one way or the other...:))
Very nostalgic song indeed.....
2022 and still as relevant as ever
Favourite song when I was three years old. 18 now, it’s still my favourite
This is a classic, give it 10 years and people will appreciate this song so much more. It's got timeless power, such a shame it's technically a one hit wonder
Damn right!
one hit wonders? what about "Golden touch" "In the morning" They were huge hits and many more. i was around 25 when this was a hit. Saw them open for The Manic Street Preachers and they were great!!!
Kyle Joyce !
I know what you mean..This tune is a classic..
It's been 10 years mate
2nd day in 2022. Anyone else? Glorious.
I remember so much good music coming out at this time. To me, this was a golden age. We are starting to see a return with new artists but my god things were coming out left right and center here. Bands that actually wrote and played their own music. And what music!
Goosebumps, one of my all time favourite songs I remember the day they released this.
What a drag it is
The shape I'm in
Well, I go out somewhere
Then I come home again
I light a cigarette
'Cause I can't get no sleep
Theres nothing on the TV, nothing on the radio
That means that much to me
All my life
Watching America
All my life
There's panic in America
Oh Oh Oh, Oh
There's trouble in America
Oh Oh Oh, Oh
Yesterday was easy
Happiness came and went
I got the movie script
But I don't know what it meant
I light a cigarette
'Cause I can't get no sleep
Theres nothing on the TV, nothing on the radio
That means that much to me
Theres nothing on the TV, nothing on the radio
That I can believe in
All my life
Watching America
All my life
There's panic in America
Oh Oh Oh, Oh
There's trouble in America
Oh Oh Oh, Oh
There's panic in America
Oh Oh Oh, Oh
Yesterday was easy
Yes, I got the news
Oh, when you get it straight, you stand up, you just can't lose
Give you my confidence, all my faith in life
Dont stand me up
Don't let me down
No, I need you tonight
To hold me, say you'll be here
Hold me, say you'll be here
Hold me, say you'll be here
Hold
All my life
Watching America
All my life
There's panic in America
Oh Oh Oh, Oh
She's just in America
Oh Oh Oh, Oh
Tell me how does it feel
Tell me how does it feel
Tell me how does it feel
Tell me how does it feel
This makes me feel so old reminded of the days i was 6 i used to play razorlight on repeat; now 24 I got my own flat and still appreciate the music me mother brought me up on!❤
Just wait, this song is about to blow up. It just needs a little more time
Still a great track, haven’t heard this in years.
Rich Cupit me to pal
I love this album. So many memories...sad and happy.
America needing big love and prayers and this song so relevent right now!
Randomly remembered this today, such a great song. To anyone who comments about bands being underrated, it's the job of the music press to keep the good bands in mind and for new bands to namecheck and introduce their influences to their own fans. That’s how a healthy appreciation of music grows, and of course the amazing playlists that people put together on this app. Why not do the same if you want to pass on your recommendations rather than just lamenting that a song isn't more well known.
One of my all time favourites. Such a cool evening/night tune!
Hello dear
I was on the plane home from Malaysia and I was feeling tired, but looking forward to seeing my friends at school and I was browsing through music on the plane and came across this song. It reminded me of 2006 and I felt so nostalgic.
