Honestly, for the price, it's pretty disappointing to not be backlight. There in no excuse for it IMO. Even the WinWing Airbus products that are only $150 come with backlighting. When I look to buy hardware, backlighting is a must have for me. I don't always sim with full lights on. Especially when doing a night flight.
Yep, I did think it should have backlighting, but it wasn't too much of an issue. I've held the Winwing Airbus products and yes the backlighting is nice on those and the price is very very good but also it feels like a toy in comparison. Still, Winwing are creating some great mass market options.
I'd be curious to know about the overlap between this device, and the G1000 sim you have. It seems like much of the functionality is duplicated, isn't it?
Yep you can't skirt around the coast of the virtual fly gear but they also do have some of the best build quality around and as far as I know are not mass produced. Buy yes, you do need deeper than average pockets.
I actually own a Virtual Fly Switcho Radio and I can vouch that it's indeed a verry nice device for radio, autopilot and much more. I really enjoy this device and I know it's rather expensive but it's worth it.
@ I have the device for over a year and used it in FS20 and FS24. I mostly fly GA aircraft. The first week I had some problems updating the Radios firmware but the support from Virtual Fly was great so we got the firmware updated successfully. When FS24 came out I asked them if and when FS24 updates where coming out and the told me it was coming soon and within two days it was working just as good in FS24 as it did in FS20 so that was quick. After an new update it stopped functioning and was only sending data to FS24 but not retrieving date. So after one email support contacted me for a remote session whit a special took they have for that. As I was a Microsoft software developer for more than 30 years we could together find a fix very quickly. The fixed the VFHub and firmware software in the fly. So great support and a happy customer. Now we are a couple of versions further and everything works great. No hassle with controller setup everything simply works through there VFHub software and that is for most of the Virtual Fly devices. So expensive sure but if you can afford it is great value. I own a Yoko+, TQ6, Switcho Trims and the Switcho Radios. I am saving up for the Radios PFD addon and some extra Switcho. devices but Christmas is coming soon. 🇳🇱

It worked in FS24 on release day+2 no hassle with setting up controls in FS simply works through there VFHub software and firmware on the Radios device. The Virtual Fly support is great and if needed the will help you get things solved in a remote session. So if you can afford it is certainly worth it. I own a Yoko+. That's actually a bloody brilliant little device!
It does quite a lot. I was surprised how useful it is but usefulness will be different for everyone I think
Bloody expensive
@ holy f*cking moly I just checked their website….. every single product. Wtf
Amazing little box, I’m surprised you cut a hole in your dash for it though. What will you use it for that the G1000 doesn’t do?
I've got a few dashboards with different cut outs.

Yea it does. Almost all the AP and Radios stuff is present on the G1000. If you already have a G1000 you'd be doubling up a fair bit.
@@g-locmedia Thanks for the reply... I love your videos; you do an outstanding job! Thanks :)
lol what are the prices at this company.... no force feedback yoke 1800 eur? :D

Why couldn’t they put the correct shape knobs?

Thanks for sharing your experience. How long have you had it?
