Shawn Porter your exactly right. Ryan reacted in the second like he had done in previous fights. Get aggressive and overwhelm his opponent to back them up into a defensive shell. @@marcust6479 Barrios got up from a body shot and then Tank fucked him up with a hook then the ref stopped the fight. Just say you don’t watch boxing lol
Good Pro breakdown Porter. I agree with most of it but Pain more than panic prevented him from continuing. His lungs seemed to be on fire with each breathe while he was on a knee!
I agree. Garcia had no game plan for a southpaw. Tank was waiting for the left hook and kept a high guard to neutralize it. and Garcia should have been going to the body.
@Porter way Podcast Shawn I have to disagree with you when you say Ryan wasn't exposed. The reason being is I think this fight shows that Ryan doesn't have a high ring IQ, that he didn't mentally prepare or even have a game plan for this fight because first and foremost, he should have used his reach advantage and been aware of distancing to keep TANK at a range to allow him to set up his left hook before throwing it. Also, in my opinion his ability to make adjustments was exposed in my opinion and that was just to name a few.
The way the second round knockdown punch landed was why Ryan was not seriously hurt. It hit him straight into his front face (nose) and not across his chin or side of head. He did get hit hard. Luke Campbell hit him across the chin with his chin up in the hair so it's no surprise he was hurt more in that case.
Tank is great. But can we stop acting like Ryan is a great fighter? Everything he didn’t do in this fight, he has never done before. He is a linear fighter with mediocre footwork and head movement. Let’s get Tank against Haney, Loma, or Stevenson.
Him getting dropped in the 2nd changed everything. Ryan literally stopped punching and was hesitant when he did throw something. Also, there was a few times Ryan literally turned his back to Tank and covered up that’s when Ik he ain’t wanna fight no more 😭
Bollocks! Watch it again.. Ryan takes it straight back to Tank backing him right down taking the wind out of his sails. His whole stance changed as he leaned into Tank placing his face right in Tanks reach beckoning him to try it again. Ryan got knocked down but he played it perfect after getting back up showing Tank his punch was nothing! Watch it again!
All that man had was words and emotion. He can’t beat Tank and He knew that, right at that counter in round 2! His whole fight changed after that counter, He was not the same. He really should be giving Tank way more credit than He did. This does not deserve a rematch at all!!
I been hit there a few times in sparring. Same with so many other fighters. Sometimes I went down , other times I grabbed the boxer to stop him from swinging. Ryan ain't quit. Boxers been through that in the gym. Fear is a good thing some times. Fear can stop you from being brain dead by getting up and taking unnecessary punishment. And at the same time you can't hold your hands up to defend yourself.
I believe fear will either paralyzes you or make you go even harder. That liver shot will paralyzes you. The 2 step back is classic with a body shot like that. In the amateur, it is said safety first. Ryan had to think about the longer term effects of the punishment he was about to endure
There's a lot of boxing talk that could be used but there's a basic explanation for why dude wasn't there after the knockdown....... His heart left with the knockdown, he's young and he doesn't have that "out on my shield " type of attitude.... if that young dude gets that fire in his spirit he's going to be a problem, shout out to both young kings....
I agree, it was a young man showing his boxing immaturity and fear along w the big bright lights(the moment) he looked across the ring on one knee at a killer n it sucked the boxing life out of him at that moment. Hopefully He will learn from it
Shawn was on the mark ! I saw the same Ryan went down and knew tank was about to bombard him with power punches ! You can see tank loading up right before the knee
Fear??? Please, he was hit in the liver which shuts down your body. Your rib cage protects your liver hence the late reaction (same happened when Garcia put Campbell down) - first the rib cage take the hit which then pushes onto the liver. Once the liver takes the hit, it shuts down the whole body despite how much you want to get up.
I agree with porter fear changed things Garcia was hurt and hasn't been there before. But Davis is a very smart fighter he is so patient that changes things.
In the second round goosen told ryan to expect tank to come out strong and to get ready to counter punch him, ryan instead of taking instructions came out blazing which shows he lacks discipkine.
No holes? What about his defense what about him throwing the same combination 3 times in a row and getting timed and dropped? Ryan can still be great he young but he got alot of key holes to work on
Idk if this is true or not but apparently Ryan already had somewhat of an injury where he got hit. I’m wondering if that played a factor in him quitting because he didn’t want to get seriously hurt

Shawn i agree 💯 percent with your comment that Ryan Garcia core was loose . If you look at the body shot , when they separate Ryan's oblique stomach muscles and ab muscles where not tenched up especially the oblique on the right side . He did not anticipate the shot , and although the blow might not have been full power i think because of the obliques not tenched up the effect is just as devastating as a full power shot . Fortunately technology gives us the chance to look at it over and over , in real time you can't see that . People are to quick to juge , he did not quit .

Im pretty sure I would have shit my pants too and no way I would dare to get up, but then again my undisputed championships are on the playstation. Ryan even made sure the count went to 10 .. he didnt accidently wanted to get up early only to end up in coma that night. Overall, this fight was garbage but great for Tank, nice and easy money + instant worldwide hype.
Exactly, he got up with no problems right after the count

Wow never heard that before it’s good
one major hole id say is how ryan over commits on his shots especially hooks and fighter with iq and enough speed to predict and counter will always capitalize on that moment
Ryan was very smart for not getting up because he knew that Tank would have have finished him
Joe Goosen was a terrible trainer for Ryan Garcia man
He ain't want nomore smoke soon as the ref said 9 he got up on 10 like thank God this over he trying to kill me LoL
😂😂😂😂
I picked up the exact same thing
That shot is a perfect picture frame.
This why I show up to this podcast 🔥
ryan girlcia quit, barrios got hit with a way more powerful body shot from tank and got back up 😂
and lost right after
He quit...
@@marcust6479 Barrios got up from a body shot and then Tank fucked him up with a hook then the ref stopped the fight.
Just say you don’t watch boxing lol
I don't think yall noticed he got hit so hard in the liver his nose started bleeding
@@williambrown4030 his nose was already bleeding but facts that shit started running crazy
Daryll "Chill" Mitchell speaking facts. Glad he is living his best life
Then they don't need to fight if he gor fear!
Couldn’t be said any better
Regardless of how good of a shot tank caught him with, Ryan quit. It is what it is.
Love you guys show....
Great work Great Content 👍 👏
Good Pro breakdown Porter. I agree with most of it but Pain more than panic prevented him from continuing. His lungs seemed to be on fire with each breathe while he was on a knee!
He was physically ready but not mentally ready.
I agree. Garcia had no game plan for a southpaw. Tank was waiting for the left hook and kept a high guard to neutralize it. and Garcia should have been going to the body.
Ryan made a business decision to not get up. He knew was going to end up like Pacqiuao and Santa Cruz motionless on the canvas had he got up.
Truth
Happy to see this guy doing well he was a pretty good actor.
Love this podcast 🔥🔥
The way the second round knockdown punch landed was why Ryan was not seriously hurt. It hit him straight into his front face (nose) and not across his chin or side of head. He did get hit hard. Luke Campbell hit him across the chin with his chin up in the hair so it's no surprise he was hurt more in that case.
Yeah it was a shock more than anything
Only thing Ryan fans were saying was how fast his hands were when punching a bag🤣🤦🏾♂️
Tank is great. But can we stop acting like Ryan is a great fighter? Everything he didn’t do in this fight, he has never done before. He is a linear fighter with mediocre footwork and head movement. Let’s get Tank against Haney, Loma, or Stevenson.
That second round knockdown is the same as Pac kO of hatton also in the second. That 7th round liver shot is the same as 10th round of Pac vs Thurman.
For me, the fight changed after Tank took Ryan's punches and realized that there was nothing to worry about.
Him getting dropped in the 2nd changed everything. Ryan literally stopped punching and was hesitant when he did throw something. Also, there was a few times Ryan literally turned his back to Tank and covered up that’s when Ik he ain’t wanna fight no more 😭
When Ryan got up in the 2nd round he left his HEART 💙 on the FLOOR❤
He quit lol after all that elaborate explanation bottom line he quit. He looked at his corner and they told him to stay down.
This was absolutely Brilliant!!!!! Thank you!
Somebody give isac cruz his credit
Ayooooooo Cruz credit? Oh AITE he lost jus like Ryan did...give them both losing credits 🤣🤣🤣🤣 GTFOH
I agree, it was a young man showing his boxing immaturity and fear along w the big bright lights(the moment) he looked across the ring on one knee at a killer n it sucked the boxing life out of him at that moment. Hopefully He will learn from it
Love listening to Liam smith humble no nonsense kinda guy
Shawn was on the mark ! I saw the same Ryan went down and knew tank was about to bombard him with power punches ! You can see tank loading up right before the knee
“How can you move faster than possible, fight longer than possible without the most powerful impulse of the spirit: the fear of death.”
Chill made it out wyandanch 👏🏾 inspirational
Fear also creates boundaries
Stopping a person to me can be worse than knocking them out . How? Because I mad you submit ! I mentally broke you ..
Damn, I thought the homie in the middle was Andre from Sweeties pies, but then I remembered Andre got GOT.
No holes? What about his defense what about him throwing the same combination 3 times in a row and getting timed and dropped? Ryan can still be great he young but he got alot of key holes to work on
Ain't no fear..he couldn't breathe,he felt power ,ref made a 10 count fair square
Ryan was trying to finish him in 2 rounds like he predicted and it was fear. Tank was talking to him
These guys interrupt so much, so annoying man… let shawn speak
Did I JUST HEAR SHAWN SHOWTIME PORTER CUSS??? 😮
Coach should’ve advised Ryan to use the reach and keep jabbing without trying to chase tank down.
Idk if this is true or not but apparently Ryan already had somewhat of an injury where he got hit. I’m wondering if that played a factor in him quitting because he didn’t want to get seriously hurt
Negative… just excuses
He quit out of fear
Sometimes it's knowing when you're beat. Last guy Tank fought couldn't see, should be have gone back for another round?
He seen what happened to santa cruz! He wasn't ready to face that reality. Fear.
He quit because he couldn't breathe, after the liver shot I mean he is human.
@@IlluzionMe Exactly that's why he quit lol it hurt him and he was afraid of what was coming next 🤷♂️
@@nopressurenodiamonds5566 Yep that pain made him fear more was coming so he quit 🤷♂️
Oscar got paid for telling him not to take the fight! Goosen got paid for telling him "YES" As for bernard🤔 he's still a saint👌Ryan only has his "EGO" to blame✌ Ry is super talented....and unless he becomes teachable he'll only repeat this outcome😜
That was the shot... He's stepping back at this point
After that Knocked down by 1st Lower uppercut by Davis I knew he lost 3-4 rounds he tucked his right over chin rest of the Night bc he Scared of Davis Left Too connect upstairs again IMO his trainer needs be blasted for not telling he’s fighting scared every knows it & not having a good gameplan I mean just like Shawn P. Said no simple movement to avoid fighting southpaw on inside you Orthodox boxer go watch Amir Khan thats how Ryan should been fight IMO
Fear had nothing to do with that liver shot! He was literally paralyzed for a moment with no wind!
That first knockdown was no flash knockdown.
Ryan was hurt but not that hurt to stay down, but Ryan was smart enough to stay down. Only because after Tank gave that blow to Ryan's stomach, Tank wasn't letting up not even for an inch. Tank was coming in even hotter and faster for the real big kill and Ryan Garcia knew that he couldn't stop Tank from delivering and so he took a knee. It's no need to fool yourself and get your dam head knocked off trying to impress your fans. Smart move Ryan and much respect keep your head up 👊🏿💯💣💥🔥
It is a Lil wild to admittedly ignore paying customers for the non paying customers lol
