What if Counter-Strike were Halo? What if Halo were CS:GO? A Mod Maker has added Halo weapons to csgo, so we decided to play a game of competitive counter-strike, but it's Halo!

This mod is extremely well made.
ikr it has accurate weapon models and the kill feed is changed and the skybox looks awesome with the halo and the planets

@@mastershooter64 Not 100% accurate if you really look into it. The holo ammo count of the assault rifle we all know is normally blue, not green.

Thing is tho, in Halo, autos dont require much skill, precision weapons are more skillful.

yeah, seeing him say that just left a bad taste in my mouth after a kind of enjoyable video. i've got nothing against him and he's allowed to have whatever opinions he wants, but it felt weird for him to say that the game was boring when he was literally playing one of the gamemodes in a sense. it just felt like an out of place comment in the video

@@dustojnikhummer they changed the movement in csgo to more closely ressemble halo, and there are game modes in halo that have simmilar health values to halo. im not saying this mod is exactly like halo, its just that the things he was doing in these gametypes were very similar to things in that game,

I know the assets are from Reach, but I still think it's crazy impressive how Zool pulled this all together and got it working, hats off to them! Mods are fantastic, blessed are the modders. Also, great video WarOwl, really digged this one

I actually ran a halo themed CSS server for about 3 years in my teenage years. EzCo was our Tag, I had 10v10 pub and a 20v20 GG5E server with the red vs blue skins as well as all the weapons, sounds and sticky nades. This was from 08-11!
When the video started, I was having trouble figuring out whether this was cs modded to be like halo, or halo modded to be like cs.
Neither. It's actally minecraft. I was shocked too.

I've done this with bots on xbox og counter strike modded version where i changed the gravity to low to make the game like halo.

MCC is great for campaigns, MP is a bit slow because of how long the TTK is, Halo CE is the fastest TTK in the collection but 343 broke that games netcode

Nah fuck that statement. Don't base it off of that alone, Warowl likes CSGO and I'm sure time to kill contributes to his preference. Halo is balanced around an arena shooter philosophy and has a much longer time to kill than most games because of its shield system, so you have to play it smart in terms of positioning. Just dont expect Halo to be like CSGO at all. I much prefer Halo to CSGO honestly.

I love Halo but it's gunplay and movement always felt slow and clunky to me (even on the new PC versions). The master chief collection was meh.
This felt especially true playing as a Spartan, who are supposed to be superhumanly fast/agile.
I feel like a Halo based around the source engine would feel mechanically awesome.
I really can't wait to try this.
Maybe have a "boss mode" where one player plays as a Spartan (with subtle aim assist or at least shields/dodging/cloaking). The 'normal' human players are insurrectionists during the human civil wars trying to survive!
That eureka moment with the run boost was the best part imo, the music kicked in at the perfect time.

Also, I can understand getting bored of the MCC, but I like to call it "FPS Lockdown", when you're so used to one game, and you play it so much, playing another game and trying the same stuff, only to get killed, makes you lose interest immediately. I played TF2 a lot, then started CS:GO, and I died first EVERY round, EVERY time.

one thing remains, change armor to regenerating energy shields and integrate the mechanic like what makes halo, halo.
