Pretty sure some diamond spray applied to a $100 bill would be a better way to use $150 to sharpen a knife. Not even joking. The quality to price ratio is hilarious.
Yeah I didn't expect it to be so rough, general consensus is F.Dicks quality has been slipping for a while now. All that aside for keeping a knife going around blood and fat I still rate it for the reasons mentioned. You'd be lucky to get more than a handful of cuts on a Roo before needing a steel on some of these softer knives.
Absolutely crazy pricing. My 20$ Victorinox sharpens amazingly. I am "tuning " my chinese honing rod. I am making it a fine grit by grinding with 40 grit powertool then by hand. 65hrc steel eats abrasives like bread. I used 5-6 velcro abrasives ,damn thank god they are chinese and cheap...

Crazy prices, in Germany those go for ~60. Btw, f dick doesnt produce in Solingen, they are located in Esslingen.
