Cimorelli is their last name
They are all 100% blood related sisters
They have 5 brothers - oldest to youngest:
Michael, Alex, Christian, nick and joey who all play instruments and sing
( Michael used 2 be in the band )
They are originally from El dorado hills - California. They got a record deal in 2009 and moved to Malibu but left in 2015 due to feeling controlled and moved to Nashville and have made 3 albums since then
Up at night, alive and sad girls club. They arrange all of it themselves.
Their ages now are:
Christina - 30
Katherine - 29
Lisa - 27
Amy - 25
Lauren - 22
Sadly at the beginning of 2020 (January 4th) their youngest sister Dani (20) left the band but still makes vids with her husband (dani and Emmyn) and has her own channel (Dani calleiro) where so far she has posted a few vids of her singing and others that aren’t to do with singing.
The rest of the band still makes vids and think u should react 2 more of them

Christina, Lisa and Katherine are mums. Christina had a miscarriage (spero - which means hope) and has an 10 month old son (Barrett)
Lisa is currently 30 weeks pregnant with her 1st (it’s a girl) and Katherine is 19 weeks pregnant (it’s twins!!!)

I've been following these girls for about 8 years and love their voices and harmonies. They started with 5 girls then added Dani the youngest, she left the group about a year ago and they are back to the original 5. Love their God Only Knows cover.
Eight years? I have some catching up to do.

I find Cimorelli hit or miss. But their "You Say" cover is stunning. Their real talent is arrangement. Which they are world class.

CIMORELLI is the greatest group that many over 25 have never heard of.. but known by many under 25 around the world. . Once you hear them you are hooked. There individual vocals are great there harmony are beautiful.

Just so you know more about them here are some facts
They are 5 sisters in the band but 6 in total and they have 5 brothers. Yes they have 11 children and they are all biological. They reason there is so many children is because they are a catholic family, meaning their parents (Micheal Cimorelli Sr and Lynne Cimorelli)were open to have a lot of children! The brothers are not in the band. In age order they are:
Michael Jr(32)-married and has 2 step daughters and 1 daughter
Christina (30)-married and has a son called Barrett
Katherine (29)-married and is 21 weeks with twins due in September
Lisa (27)- married 32 weeks pregnant with a daughter due in July
Amy (25) single
Alex (24) pretty sure he is dating someone
Lauren (22) single
Dani(elle) (20) married- she left the band January 4th
Christian (19) single
Nick (17) single
Joey (16)
And that’s them all
To point out the obvious, their last name is Cimorelli. Their mum taught them how to sing and play instrument from a very early age. Their band started in 2007 with small concerts around their home town -Sacramento, California. At this point there was only 5 sisters in the band as Dani was too young. In 2009, they uploaded their first cover on RUclips: Party in the USA by Miles Cyrus, and it blew up. Their brother Michael was in the band for a bit playing guitar but then left idk y. A manager from England saw their video and got them a record deal; they moved to LA. They record deal stuff happened in 2010; this is also when Dani joined the band. In 2015, they left their record deal and moved to Nashville, as they realised they could run this all by themselves. They now run EVERYTHING by themselves.
That’s the basic rundown!

They have this throwback rock sound that sounds incredible.
Don’t just do the Eurovision song though as they have put out some awesome stuff.

I think Katherine and Christina sound alike. I think Dani and Amy sound alike. Lisa sounds different from the others. But I don't think the three "groups" sound a lot alike. For example, Amy does not sound like Lisa. One man's opinion.
My big issue with Cimoreli is that they usually cut their lead vocals up into too many parts. Because it's a family band, it's almost like they don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. Ideally they'd simply use fewer lead vocalists per song, let them rotate, and the rest do backgrounds and harmony in the songs where they don't lead. But they don't. It's frustrating.
Also, and it's a painful truth, two of the sisters are distinctly better singers than the others. I'd see ignoring that to maintain family harmony, and not leaning into them having more leading moments, but even if you still use all of the sisters equally, that shouldn't mean in every song. It's just bad arranging. Good singing, even from the less spectacular singers in the family, but bad arranging.
And the shame of it is that their harmonies are great. They just seem afraid of prioritizing them over making sure everyone has a line every song.
