    Dude, I’m glad you sped it up to 20 mins. It probably took you close to an hour to do all that. You have mad skills!

    Going this Saturday to look at a barn find, 1973 CB550. Lady says she can't ride anymore. Has 16K on the engine. Pictures show a solid bike, but we will see..... Doesn't matter.... For $500.00 it will be a good project... Had a 1981 CB750C that was cherry.... Was dumb and traded it in for a 1994 CB1000 naked bike....The dealer put the 81 on the showroom floor with the brand new 94's. It sold fast.... my loss....Great videos... Cant wait to start the project

    This music selection reminds me so much of bFM, an Auckland, New Zealand student radio station! Damned spooky!

    My neighbor lady inherited several homes last year and in the shed was a Honda 550 four and I think it has an auto trans.

      @lylesgarage  2 года назад

      Sounds like a great project! I’ve never seen a 550 w the hondamatic trans. Perhaps it’s a cb750?

      @@lylesgarage Pretty sure it is 550. It is in pretty rough shape and some parts missing. The bike is in storage now so won't see it again till summer.

    That is exactly the bike I had 50 years ago, by God I miss that bugger. My mother wouldn’t let me buy a motorcycle in until I turn 21 years old.

      @@lylesgarage Great! I'm hopeful you will cover in detail the install. I've got a new set on the way as well and have the exact bike you're doing here. Very cool that you are documenting and showing the details of your restoration. Best, Don in Vegas

      @@lylesgarage That MUSIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!????????????? I managed 5 mins until we unsubscribed. Americans have no idea. Just the voice and mechanical audio please. Goodbye forever in the digital Cosmos. What a waste of so much video footage all to end up with no one watching from that 20 year old screeching soundtrack?????????? Wanker. Goodbye from Australia.

    I’m wondering if this bike is being restored for a customer.?
    Or is this a bike you found to be restored and then sold. If this bike will be for sale I am interested.

    • @lylesgarage
      @lylesgarage  2 года назад

      Thanks for your interest in the bike and thanks for watching👍🏻! This is a bike I found for sale on the internet and purchased it to restore and sale. It will probably take me until spring of ‘23 to finish it and finish the accompanying “Lyle’s Garage” episodes. Then she’ll be for sale. I hope you follow along w the build and keep in touch if you’re still interested when she’s all done💪

    A tip for Japanese bike airboxes, heat rubbers to carbies via airbox or directly with a heat gun, then push those rubbers into the airbox when soft, installation is reverse, gives enough clearance to remove carbies. Original once.
