Awesome video, I'm a nurse and I'm looking into becoming a CRA but I'm interested to know how much paperwork and writing would I need to do as a cra.

There's a lot of both. I write at least one trip report a week (sometimes more) and those can take a few hours to write. There's also a ton of paperwork. Lot of collection documents from sites, reviewing them, uploading them etc.

@@MarioDeSouza damn I hate writing lol maybe dictating them would help me out but I'm not a big fan! Is the transition from nurse to cra is it easy or harder in your opinion?

@@gabep3058: Jobs don't have too much overlap. As a nurse, medical terminology will be easy for you to understand. However, you're still going to need to learn everything clinical research related. I've known many people to switch. Some have gone back to nursing because they miss the patient interaction and didn't enjoy the travel as much as they thought they would. Others were so burned out from nursing that were happy to be CRAs. I recommend trying to become a clinical research nurse first so you become familiar with the research aspects. If you like that role and don't mind not seeing patients, becoming a CRA will be an easier transition.

@@MarioDeSouza thank you! I have a potential interview at your previous cro. I hope it goes well. Any tips?

@@gabep3058: Two of my earlier videos are on interviews (one general/one oncology). I recommend watching them once through then watching them again and pausing to answer each question. After that, try and Google around for questions asked by the CRO you're interviewing for.
