This was one of my favorite episodes!!!! Of course my most favorite of season 2 was "A Keaton Christmas Carol" but this one was a very close second for 2 reasons, I am a lover of baseball and 2 just the whole episode was funny and sweet at the same time. I loved the courage that Jennifer had to stand up for Arlene in front of her team and friends, at that age not many would do that. Arlene reminds me of a friend of mine, but my friend is 30, but the way she talks she sounds a bit like Arlene and even looks like her too.
I was thinking the same thing when I first saw this episode, before seeing the episode where we find out that Skippy was adopted, that whole family even looked like they were all related too. I think in season 2 you only see the Handleman's once.

Arlene looks so much like Skippy - which is ironic, as Skippy was adopted. I guess nurture trumps nature this time.

sportsygirl8 Skippy and Arlene's parents show up in two episodes, one in season 2 and one in season 7, same actors played the parents in each episode.
I wonder if maybe they didn’t plan to have that skippy was adopted yet.
