That is the BEST middle school classroom I have ever seen. Even from the screen it gives such a warm, welcoming and mellow vibe. I can't imagine what the students think when they enter the room. Have an amazing and safe school year!!!!!!!!🙏🏾😁🎉🎉

It's beautiful. In my city there's no guarantee you will have the same classroom every year. Over my 34 year career, I've moved classrooms so often I felt like a Nomad! I recall setting up the entire room only to have the principal move me. I was furious.
I am so lucky that I have never been in that situation. I pretty much stay put until I move schools.

I love it! It's like every year your classroom gets more grown and modern house like. I like how the decors mimic how you designed your home. Honestly I would spend the money to make my classroom look great and comfortable too. I wish you nothing but a prosperous 2022-2023 school year.

WOW, what an amazing classroom. I taught for forty-one years in grades 1-3.I retired in 2019. I never figured out how much money I spent over the years, but I know was a lot of money. I would do it again. As you said, it makes you happy. It does not matter what other people think, as long as you are happy. There are teachers that do not spend one penny on their classrooms, and it shows. Every school has teachers like that. Their classrooms always look it! Congratulations on your new school year. I absolutely love your room. I’m from the elementary world and when my personal children went to middle school I was so disappointed at the lack of decorations in middle school classrooms! It’s not about making everything cute, but welcoming and inviting! You have definitely done that. Your students will love entering your room each day! Good luck and have a wonderful year!

It looks like a home and if you are able to provide that to your students that's amazing! It would be great if schools had the budgets to offer teachers funds to make their rooms comforting spaces. Teachers and students spend the majority of their time there and a space that feels comfortable, rather than industrial/generic/concrete, really makes a difference! I have to share a classroom since we rotate around and I hate how bland it is.
Y'all classrooms in America are soooo big, I would love to have that amount of space!! South African government school classes are super small and packed with learners
The cup stacking activity is great fun! I’ve used in several years in a row as my ice breaker
I will be using it every year. I loved it! Minimal prep., way less awkward than other activities, and the kids had fun with it.

It looks great and I love it! As teachers we are always changing things to try to improve the flow in our rooms or make things more organized and functional for ourselves and our students. It’s amazing what those little changes can do to improve the whole day. Here in GA we went back the last week in July and students started August 1. I hope you have a great year and that the changes you made make your teaching life easier! 😊

I love you ! Very interesting and inspiring , thank you. Question: Do you earn more money if you work as a teacher for middle school than in elementary ? In my country we do, but teachers move from school (or district) as here you explained students do.
Love it :) My only comment is that the coffee area should be reworked to something that will house more space for the students creative projects or items......or simply leave the space open with a small plant and photo. The coffee area seems to bring too much "home" vibes and takes away from a classroom. There are several great features in your classroom but some aspects are too "home-like" :)
