I have a thing for ladders, vacs and lights. I was going to buy that one this week but actually bought the new tri-panel Rover 2368-20. It’s bright and you can get light anywhere you need. It’s heavy a heavy girl, but it’s not a flashlight. Home Depot actually had THIS NEW LIGHT as a free tool with M18 Starter Kit $199 (2-5Ah & charger)…Rover for $94 if you return batteries. I had to buy it. That being said I’m sure I’ll get this one too, especially after your review.
When we buy all that completely unnecessary tools, the best thing is how we justify the purchase. All the self-convincing and our inner negotiations :) Every time I look at $300 water dispenser (it's literally a battery operated tap that measure water flow for mixing thinsets, mortars, plasters etc.), I always convince myself how much time I saved, because I don't have to measure the water manually. I just realised that I have similar thing with vacuum cleaners as Joey has with lamps. I of course I perfectly know why I have and need 5 of them.
There's many tools i got because I could find another use for it. I got my flexvolt mud mixer for drilling 8in auger holes in hard dirt. We use chisel mode on our sds as a air hammer ect. Anything we can to not use a generator long extension cord or maintain a gas engine. Tiz the life we live to avoid inconvenience. If I was mixing alot of concrete I'd love one of thoes water meter things for consistency. Instead we order a 2 yard minimum off a mixer truck and offer the client a bonus project!
Dang it, i just got back from Home Depot right now. My store has a handful in stock. Definitely gonna pick one up tomorrow. Love the longer run times with the M18 batteries. Was always wishing for a light that compact that ran on M18s. Thanks for the review,
I use m12 platform and the m12 rover has been one of my most used tools and amazing at 700 lumens and 250 settings. The magnet is amazing feature and usb charging for my phone in case of emergency. I am sure m18 is just as nice.
The joy in Joey's voice whenever he would find a pro over his old M12 tells you how hard he was selling this light to Mrs Maintenance 🤣😅 half a week on the lowest setting is crazy though
I have the inverter. I really don't use the I really don't use the standard plug. Just the USB type-c charging port. Do you think I will get more use out Rover light
@@jeffreyesguitar5129 mine doesn’t either.. I’m able to fix 99% of her problems so she is good with me buying whatever. I’m the other 1% that is unfixable 😂
@@user-ld6wo4rv8h not yet 😂… I’ve been running the same 5.0 in these thing since I got it, last forever. (I only use it in small spurts) I would think it does, all my other Milwaukee ones do, but I will try to remember to reply back once I know for sure.
@ thank you. Milwaukee is very inconsistent on mentioning this feature in their manuals and website. I have lights that do this and it’s not mentioned anywhere on the website or manual. The 2367-20 has this feature but it’s not mentioned anywhere. I had to test it myself.
This may get me to get some m18 batteries. I have resisted as long as I can. I use a ryobi topoff for a cpap machine during power outages and that m18 one can do 25w more so maybe won't trigger the over current protection. Things like this are a gateway tool and if they had a battery bogo with this I'd be at the store today. Though these lights arnt cheap they really are very reasonable. Using ryobi has a case study they are 40 to 80 dollars depending on the light themselves. How much money is m18 really costing you. The big draw here is the runtime my slim light is 3 hours? Being able to leave a light on bright as it is for 12 hours a full day easily is a win. It also leads to a problem don't set it and forget it like Ron would say. 140 to 200 dollars would made for a sad day or a long trip back to work to find it.
If I were already in the M18 platform, I might (of course I would!); it looks like a good light, and the USB ports remove the need to carry a power bank. I'm not though, so it's extremely unlikely (yes, sadness...). For up close and personal, I've got my Sofirns and my Vicoodas; more distant and we have a Ryobi One+ Hybrid floodlight.
I was excited for a second with "usb charging" totally seems like you could charge the m18 battery with usb. Which would be a big deal if it could transfer enough power
