- Aloha Big Island, Aloha Maui. WE set sail from the Big Island to Maui for an overnight passage across the Alenuihaha Channel, known as one of the most dangerous passages. Luckily for us, we paid close attention to the weather and chose to go at night as the winds typically soften through the gap.
On this episode of WE|Sail, we arrive to La Parousse Bay, the south side of Maui and adventure around the next volcanic island. We try to find a mooring at Molokini Crater, and have some difficulties finding a protected anchorage on Maui.
We take part of a special Hawaiian Tradition of paddling on a outrigger canoe. Learn a little about the history of the first settlers and how they navigated their way to the island by canoe and sing some traditional chants of the Hawaiian people.
Thanks for following the adventures of WE!

Mahalo for respecting our culture 🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙❤️❤️❤️
When Warren yelled well done, he sounded like Tom Hanks yelling “Wilson!” Looked like a blast
Haha nice!!
Nice video guys 👦 👍. Ya Molikini doesn't really have that many colorful fish but it is ok down below the water.
Hey thanks Walter!
Looks like Buffalo Bill with the goggles on!
I have been working so hard these days, and wow its so relaxing to watch you r videos. As always, beautifully filmed, the music the b-roll and narration. Thanks for making my afternoon better

The BIG thing about that crater is,
STAY IN THE CRATER!!! It is a Great place for snorkeling and Diving. BUT! If you swim out of the crater you will find the current is about 4 to 5 nots. So before you know it you are half way to the middle of the pacific. When Robin and I did it we snorkeled and the other 5 people were Diving and when they got out of the crater we started to go picj thim up. By the time ⏲️ we got to the last diver we was almost 2 miles away from the crater.
Ok thanks for this week's video 📹.

Like the video! I was stationed in Hawaii in the late 80's, seeing him walking through the lava fields in Flip-Flops made me cringe. I know what that stuff can do to a brand new pair of boots.
You’re absolutely right- that’s some sharp SH$@#!!!
beautiful coverage, well done folks
They show their love for their calcalture it shows they have more than just respect. It's their love that keeps they way of life alive. People here in the USA could take some lessons from them how to show love and be proud of their forefathers way of life before greed stepped in... Great video, thanks for sharing it with us. Love
Awesome English couple sailing the boat that never complain, like Warren does. You two obviously have too much money, by the way you go through drones. I personally fast forward the drone footage in any episode I watch! Safe sailing ⛵️
Great sailing yacht. Have you reviewed it? Which brand?
Thanks she’s definitely a beaut! It’s a custom “one off” and the builder retired after her actually!
Nice nice
