To my mind.. Emanet is so addictive and so successful because literally the actors have become the characters especially Halil, Sila. Tolga ..and to an extent Hilal and the actress playing Ikbal . If you look at Halil's personality in his music video and his sweet smiling self in the behind scenes videos..you realise even more how he has become Yaman. Body language..voice modulations .. every thing. Same goes for Tolga becoming Ziya. This level of acting skills and direction has us hooked. Contrast this to the police station or jail scenes where one is aware that those are actors playing their roles.
My first introduction to Turkish dizis was Fatmagul where again every actor became their character. Till date I recall every Kerem and Fatmagul scene because Engin and Beren lived their characters.
A very nice and sensible serial Fatmagul .My first serial and love it.

I love Fatmagul too for very personal reasons..I had just been diagnosed with cancer and was in and out hospitals. I began watching it as a distraction ..but it became my savior as I fell in love with Kerem and Fatmagul
