I use morganite in Evil Eye, it makes it a bit more comfy, since you don't have to play into maxx c as hard and once your board is established, drawing 2 cards per turn is more chances for drawing your Evil Eye traps
I run it in dinomorphia for the same reason. Also it makes it a little less bad if I draw 2 of the level 4 monsters, lets me just go straight into Laggia or Dolkka
I feel like Morganite is designed for a Spirit deck. Those monsters have powerful effects, but they can't be special summoned and they spend a lot of resources, so they need the extra normal and the extra draw. It is not a coincidence they released Sakitama and Tushuma in the same pack, and at the same time Yata was unbanned. If you have the extra normal of the Morganite and Nikitama (3 normal summons), and the search of Aratama, you could easily get on the field Tsumuha, Hinokagutsuchi or Yatama Dragon. You could also normal Iwato to have more safe plays or settle on for the Yata direct attack
By the way you can still play hand traps, they simply become nibiru i.e. they prevent ur opponent from 1st turn win but brick after that. Cutting Maxx C is therefore a misplay because you can't guarantee you start with morg and the morg extra draw and extra summon will help u unbrick the hand traps anyway! I think morg + strong generic extra deck and at least 3 maxx c plus maybe crossout designator (to further help unbrick dead hand traps in deck) is the package.
You playing Based Floowandereeze, me playing Spirits Floowandereeze using Kutsunagi. Playing Morganite while having Hand Traps seems wrong, since you'll turn them into bricks.
Morganite is not that good in most meta decks since they all use tons of hand traps and effects from their hand, but it's absolutely amazing in a lot of older rogue decks. I use it in Ancient Gears and being able to summon 2 monsters in a turn is a HUGE consistency boost.
@@Badbufon Well duh, it's a barely rogue deck that hasn't received any support since 2020 (and it was literally just Ballista lmao), of course a single card isn't going to fix it and you're not going to use it at high levels anyway, this is just for fun. The point is, Morganite makes the deck objectively a lot better and gives you tons of new option. For example, Geartown + AG Fusion + Gear Frame is now an easy instant Chaos Giant, and being able to play Wyvern and summon Gearbox or any monster you got with it's effect allows you to go into Ballista with just 1 card. It also opens up new options that wouldn't even be considered without it. With pure AG you're not using half of your Extra Deck anyway, so why not throw some random synchros in as well? Just use your now "useless" Ash Blossom as a tuner to Synchro summon cards like Maple Maiden and combine it with some floodgates like Rivalry, Gozen Match and Clockwork Night. Of course it's not even close to being an actually good deck but it's still a lot of fun, I'd recommend it. TL;DR : card good, do not dismantle unless you only play meta and nothing else.
I thought I could use morganite in my Blue-Eyes deck until I realized the “can’t active cards from the hand” effect which made me loose all hope on everything… at least I didn’t craft it so my disappointment didn’t come with a cost.
@@goblinslayer1115 Yup, the downside is incredibly harsh in the current meta. You need to rethink the way you build your deck from scratch, ignoring most hand traps and going for maximum consistency and draw power instead. The whole idea behind the card is that it allows you to (sometimes) overwhelm your opponent with your superior resource generation, you just have to pray that they don't have enough negates to stop you. That's why I mentioned Ancient Gear specifically, that deck mainly relies on their normal summon and it's already so inconsistent that you can easily afford to remove pretty much every hand trap with the exception of maybe 2 copies of Ash Blossom for your synchros. Other fun decks that can use it are Magical Musket, Traptrix, Umi Control, Monarchs and believe it or not, Winged Dragon of Ra actually becomes somewhat usable with it. Kinda.
I'm curious about time tearing morganite's effect, does it shut down special summon from hand if x is on field or if y is performed (x could equal generic or specific monsters(reptillianne coatl can special summon itself from hand if you have a dark reptile on field, kaijus tribute opponents monster, that evil eye snake special summons itself if you have an evil eye monster on field) , y could equal special summons ( some ninjuhs, for example can special summon from hand if some on field are flipped or special summoned)
Obviously, I know it can prevent you from using maxx c or ash blossom for the rest of the duel that much is clear but I'm less clear on special summoning effects while in hand , interactions
@@quantum_leviathan No it doesn't stop special summon from hand, unless its an effect like nibiru or bystials, so Kaiju, Kurikara, and Ra sphere are all still live and any effect like them, but monsters that activate in hand before doing something can no longer even activate
Yes, but anything that gives u extra normal summon is very welcome, morganite I feel like it’s the best choice, but u also need to adjust the deck, the only hand trap u can play is infinite impermanence
