Hi High is literally crack. At first you’re like “eh, I don’t see the big deal” then you find yourself coming back to it and getting just a overall euphoria from it for no reason? It’s a common joke between fans that favOriTe brings fans in, but as you mature as an orbit favOriTe becomes .... not bad? But like a song you’ve heard so much it loses its spark. On the other hand, Hi High just has that bubbly charm of happiness but still has the complexity to make you appreciate the composition of it. Yeolgi/9/Heat is interchangeable because it’s called Yeolgi but the korean word yeolgi is a play on words of both heat & the number 9. My favorite bside for XX is curiosity. A lot of fans get stuck between Colors or Satellite, but tbh, for me - nothing beats playing Curiosity on your car speakers with the bass up high. It’s like a rollercoaster. I’ve never heard such a strong bass line like that always pulling me up and then dropping me.
yes curiosity is amazing and underrated, but surprisingly i LOVED favOriTe first listen. and my rank for xx side tracks are satellite > curiosity > curiosity > where you at (all amazing)
For the song colours, it’s a song heavily revolving around OddEyeCircle. Hyunjin sings about the colour purple because her and Choerry are mirror counterparts. HaSeul sings about KimLips colour because they are the only two girls known to figuratively shoot themselves in their mv. GoWon sang about dark blue JinSoul because in the B#rn teaser video GoWon wanted to reverse time and a girl holding a bag with a fish in it (hinting JinSoul) would be the next story to be told .........maybe......whenever B#rn is going to happen.

dang! if i knew this was gonna happen i would've recommended iwee's lyric videos; a lot of the early LOONA color coded lyric videos have a bunch of errors in them--which is fine, it's usually the cost of getting them out within hours of release with no live stages to verify--but iwee redid a handful of them recently for accuracy (they even nailed all the Butterfly adlibs 😳) also, not sure if anyone has said this already (i wasn't reading chat lol), but I think 열기 is also sometimes called 열기(9) because it was supposed to be an alternate/full title? like it's called been called both names on Spotify and the "(9)" is present in the description on one of the [+ +] teasers IIRC. "열기" = "heat" while "열기(9)" = "hot air balloon" (9 in Korean is "구", so "열기구") so both titles make sense with the song. they're both technically correct but FWIW i think it's just called 열기 now edit: WOW long comment sorry lol
You should watch or react to the fancams of the Loonaverse there’s basically a fancam for every song on the xx album so you can watch the choreographies, they are great (or watch their dance practices but there’s no dance practice for Curiosity), and personally i like the fancams of the concert better than the dance practices because they’re wearing their stage outfits and like the music and cheers are so loud kinda makes me feel as if i were there hehe (maybe that’s just me)😉😅.
What's great about the music, lyrics, vocals, and even choreography is that it all relates/alludes to the loonaverse. It's cool that you noticed the detail in Colors.
I think Hi High is my favorite Kpop song of all time. Yeah, you have to be in the mood for it, but when you are, it's like the essence of Kpop distilled into its purest form, and amped up to 11.

Your missing all the intros, which is the first tracks of the albums if you get to all the subunit b side they have intro as well basically they mix all the subunits intros into one, all the subunits have different genres and vibe, watch out for OEC I think it will strike your R&B soul
The audio in the lyric video for Where you At that you watched is actually very poor quality. If you listen to the song again on Spotify or another streaming service, the vocal mix is better and you'll enjoy the song much more.
