@@kaushikbanerjee851 yeah np, but I noticed that animated adaptations of video games are much better than live-action. Halo show, Uncharted movie, Tomb Raid 2018 are some examples of bad adaptations and they all are live action....Witcher is an exception tho.

Edgerunners was such a wild ride. Although it was a short series but our connection to the characters was thoroughly built. Definitely in my top 5 anime this year. Also it's dub>>>>sub

Just finished Cyberpunk Edgerunners today before this video.
I am glad that he made a video about it
The art style and animation is just amazing in this anime. And about the ending (spoiler ahead) I don't think arasaka is gonna kill David because he was so special to them and they didn't even show his dead body and Lucy is still alive and arasaka was looking for Lucy so there is a chance of season 2.
Yeah cuz how Adam smasher tells David before killing him that u can used again by constructing.. So maybe arasaka might make him their bodyguard and reset his memory or something... My opinion

My major criticism of this anime is that I didn't feel the connection with the characters. There are not memorable dialogues. The characters are very stereotyped and not nuanced. I really didn't feel any connection with the characters. But its a good anime. Just would have been better if they would have given more breathing space for the character time. And unnecessary nudity eh.
8/10 max also that for character design and environment details
Believe me, it is incredible.
Maybe you didn't like it because you are not into cyberpunk genre but I play Cyberpunk 2077 and this anime is just wow.
But maybe you have a different taste and I respect that.

It is incredible badal. It's one of the best anime of the year with awesome characterization , a booming soundtrack and delightful visuals. After a very long time i was invested in main characters relationship which speaks volumes about how well they did this show
this anime just leaves a lasting impression
This show gave the feeling of akira and ghost in the shell, and for me this show is 9/10.

I watched it a few days ago. And it was good in its own way. Not gonna talk about music. I am listening to it 24/7. It was emotional though. At least for me.

edgerunners is actually a prequal to the lore of cyberpunk game , the protagnist of this anime has been mentioned during missions and cutscenes in the game as being the best edgerunner. That is why people are returning to the game (most of them are there to brutally murder Adam Smasher though , who is equally hated in the game's story as in Anime)

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners (2022- ) is one of the best anime ever made.

It's definitely a 9/10 show. The main reason is character development. Adam Smasher just got screen time in the very last episode and appeared for some minutes but those minutes defined his character better than the game. David, Maine and all the other characters had huge development in these 10 episodes.
Akudama Drive is also very similar to it but Cyberpunk Edgerunners were better cuz the execution of every single thing was on spot. The music, the animation and the characters.... all were over the top. If you look at it, the real MC was Lucy as the whole story revolved around her from the very start. like how her dream to go to the moon and all. The last scene was really sad. It brought me to tears even though I don't cry that easily. That was enough reason for me to praise this anime.

But it doesn't mean he is alone. As his journey continues he gained many faithful subordinates and they also became powerful as f*** with time. Watch it. I guarantee it will be worth while.
