I find that Bachmann Thomas models are TVS Accurate, while Hornby Thomas models are Awdry Accurate.
I like that theory, however, I don’t know about Edward though. 😕

IMO, Henry is probably Hornby’s best model.

Hey Oliver I just want to ask do you have the Percy the tank engine?
The secondary you showed it’s based off of the model engine version, which was the first Thomas & Friends. The second one is based off of the more animated weirder realistic one.
I think the OO scale ones are suited for collectors, but they are inexpensive for children.
Their 009 SKR range, and N scale/G scale Standard Gauge range have more weight and durability to them as collectible models.
Why don’t you try the strength test with both of the Henry’s you got

I think the Bachmann version of Henry is the more accurate version.

Hornby version is stronger in build, but the Bachman is far better in detail
Well I mean the difference is Bachmann went and made there trains look like the characters while hornby they just painted there real life loco and slapped a face on them.

But in all seriousness, I think both the Hornby and Bachmann models are great.
I wish Hornby kept making Thomas models, whilst both Henrys are cool, the Hornby one looks better.
If you want to model the Railway Series, go for the Hornby Henry.
If you want to model the TV Series, go for the Bachmann Henry.
This largely applies for both ranges in general. Hornby (with the exceptions of Edward and Emily) actually used the real basis where they could, and modified for good looking models of the characters when they couldn't used the actual basis

I choose the Hornby Version of Henry.
It's funny how the bachmann models sre supposed to be tv series accurate and the hornby models are (apparently) supposed to be railway series accurate
Even though neither aren't reallyy accurate
Bachmann Henry's tender is too short, the US release has gray axle boxes and lamp irons, and his eyes are too small
While the hornby one has green axle boxes, too bright of a shade of green, and a white running board

Nah it's not really based directly off the illustrations, it's just a model of a real Stanier class painted green and has a face slapped onto it
