Two possible solutions for the VVS Fault/ Limp Mode for the Can-Am Ryker

- So what is going on!!!! Here is a quick video explaining the two most common ways to get the tragic VVS Fault/ Limp mode. The most common way is to ride the brake while drive. To avoid this simply move your foot to the side… keep your foot off the brake lol.
The second common issue is the Yaw sensor which is malfunctioning and needs to be replaced. I really hope this helps you or at least gives you a starting point.

Where the yaw sensor es located and how replaced it
Take it to the dealer, they should fix it for free
I got a '22 Ryker in early July and have had this VSS (not VVS) Fault/Limp Mode 5 times already. After the 2nd time (1st time cleared after about 25 miles), I took it to the dealer and they blamed low tire pressure as the cause...which was not true. I bought the BUDS2 software and have cleared the issue myself the last 3 times. It is beyond frustrating but hopefully they'll listen to me and replace the YAW rate sensor - which is what the software specifies every time as the issue. These bikes are fun but I'm not sure I'd recommend them to anybody.
Thanks for commenting. I definitely agree and I hate that your going through that. I love mine and haven’t had any serious issues however I know a lot of folks have. I really hope BRP Canam handle these issues or they will lose customers
Any updates
@@mernstgeek Took the bike into ASK Motorsports (where I bought it) and they kept it for 4 weeks. They took care of 2 recalls but said they couldn't recreate the fault code so there was nothing they could do (additional b.s. happened that I won't go into here but I highly recommend avoiding this place at all costs)...I took it to Iron Pony and dude told me that he's seen the issue multiple times and it's caused by the factory not doing the alignment before setting the Yaw Rate Sensor. Mine was still under warranty so they fixed it and it's been ok since picking it up 2 weeks ago. I've only ridden 3 times for less than 100 miles though, so I'll have a better answer after a little more time.
On my 2021, my limp mode was caused by a bad string of lights that I had running under my seat
That is interesting. Thank you for the comment. I’m sure somebody may be having that same issue. Thanks for sharing. Be sure to hit that subscribe button and share as well🔥🤘🏾
How are u connecting that adidas bag
It’s just clipped on through the openings on the tank
please tell us what dealer so we do not have to deal with them at all.
I won’t shout out the shop but I think I flashed it on the recipient from them on the video. Just beware they be ripping ppl off
I ve sent my can am to the dealer concerning limp mode Home Mode. The result was low voltage. Ive checked tje battery 12.9v and limp mode goes ON again. Scanner does not shoes any fault amd my foot is away from brake
Ok yes I’ve heard of that issue. Thanks for the comment and I hope they got you back up and running
Where can you get the BUDS2 software and how do you plug it up
I’m not sure what that is. What is that?
How did you clear the code
I actually never had the problem, if you do have the code most likely one of these options could be the problem. You will need to have your bike checked out
Thx
Welcome. Thanks for watching, hope it helps
Thanks.. I ride a Harley.. And my lady rides 1..shes having thses issues now
Thanks for watching, I hope it gets fixed soon.
Did you ever figure out the reason?
@@OfficialJD3 Will get it looked at sometime next week
Is there any way to reset it to avoid putting in it the shop
One think I heard was check your batter connections. Unplug wait a few and then Try again.
Why is it these videos are always a guy that has a set of Walmart tool and no mechanical skills
I love comments like these. Keep watching ima learn you something 🤘🏾🔥. FYI, Walmart tools are great and get the job done.
