Let me age myself. We moved to our new government house on Sherlock Crescent in Duhaney Park as soon as the home was completed in 1960 something. Before we moved to Duhaney Park, we lived in Waterhouse, Kingston 11, and used to walk across the gully to go to the Boulevard to watch traffic zoom by. We would never think of crossing the boulevard on foot. Traffic was moving so fast. The nickname for the Boulevard was Nylon Road. There were no potholes. Once we settled in Duhaney Park, we would walk up the Boulevard, climb through a hole in a fence and snuck into the Drive-in-theater and watched movies from the bleacher benches. We saw “To Sir With Love” there. Oh the memories! Life in Jamaica was so sweet. Our biggest fear was being attacked by dogs. So we always walked with a stick. I just love your home. Do lizards come in? They are my biggest enemies. Every Island I visited, I looked for lizards and once see them, I want to come back to New Jersey.
