Thank you for telling this story because immigrants do come in all shades. As an immigrant myself these stories are real and I was so happy for simas parents the first time they were able to travel back home. That feeling is unexplainable. Happy holidays you guys.
Lovely video do not judge totally agree with you Avri thanks for sharing this documentary may the good lord continue to bless the entire 2025 blessings blessings ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This is a common situation. Many immigrants had the same experience as his parents. I can remember as a child my mom left for the USA and she spent fifteen years there facing so much difficulties. Eventually she had to return home without getting her green card because was missing her family and to top it all she fell down a flight of stairs and hurt her back. So she was very frustrated about everything. She thought that it wasn’t worth her happiness and that her children needed her more than that green card. I loved her for the sacrifices she made of returning home.
it was so nice to see your in-laws so clearly and as an immigrant to Canada is something to behold. Their story is something that my family has gone through and there are so many similarities that your in-laws gone through. I hope Simas parents and your family have just the best future together.
I enjoyed the interview with Esmeralda and dad (?) I am surprised that in 20 years, they never went back, but I am glad they're going back finally. Maybe now,in later life, they may consider to move back to Lithuania ? Best wishes. Enjoy Lithuania. ( Edit: ooh its their 2nd time, even better!) ❤
Happy new year to your family lovely interview in everything we have to put god first . Wishing you and your wife more lifetime together and your parents best wish happy and prosperity new year
Great video guys, life is a skit that's all put together to become whole. You both did well. Thanks for sharing your parents-in-laws' journey from their home land to America.
Amazing vlog guys interesting to hear about Simas parents having to leave Lithuania and coming to the USA. We all have a story to tell my grandparents on both sides came to London England in the late 50’s from Jamaica. So I understand and relate. A lot of my family are in the US also and Canada. Happy new year! Looking forward to more vlogs in 2025 much love. ❤

First of all, I'm glad that Simas' parents have finally returned to a place they can truly call home. My aunt left Lithuania in 1999, moved to the U.S., and has never visited our country since. Perhaps she doesn't even have a sense of how life has changed here over the past quarter-century. She left when the American dream was still very much alive in people’s minds and life in Lithuania was quite difficult. However, the dynamics between life in Lithuania and the U.S. have shifted dramatically. Living conditions, wages, and standards of living have skyrocketed here, while I fear they have remained stagnant or even worsened in the U.S. compared to 25 years ago. That’s why I’m so happy to see people returning from emigration and starting to enjoy life in their own homeland.
Happy New Year my favourite young couple!! Being away from home is not easy. We have to look at he sacrifices we make and the challenges we face either make us bitter or stronger. I choose the latter. Only God! 🙏🏾
The immigration experience was very difficult especially for my mom. We’re originally from Haiti. We migrated to Congo, Africa in the 60’s for 6 years, then we migrated to France for 3 years & then we migrated to USA, in the 70’s for 50++ years. Migrating to Congo & France was not difficult; however, migrating to Virginia, USA was VERY difficult, with regards to culture. My mother especially, found it like she was living in a lifelessness environment. After 40 years in the USA, she adapted; nonetheless, she was happier to retire back to Haiti. She felt more ALIVE, in Haiti, regardless of its shortcomings. She remained in Haiti until her death at age 77. For me, the youngest child, of 10 yrs old, it was much easier because of the friends i made in elementary school. For my elder sibling, who were in junior HS, they experienced a weird American peer pressure that was very difficult UNTIL they made it to university, where the culture was finally normal. Overall, the economic opportunities were great in the USA. BUT the cultural situation was very difficult.
Wow..that's an interesting story. From Haiti to Congo..wow..why Congo? I'm glad to hear she settled back in Haiti. I find a lot of immigrants go back to their birthplace when they get old.

This is a beautiful document. I hope things go well for your family. It is a lot better to live in Europe than the US. The US is draining.
So happy for your parents Simas, best wishes to you both.

I think the user collapse around 33 to 35 years ago
How does a greencard work? It seems you can live in the USA without having a greencard? You need to apply for it?
I would think once an immigrant gets residency they would automatically get a greencard?? 🤷♀️
@lusimyer, You do not get a green card automatically living in the U S. One has to apply for permanent residency.
@@lusimyerno, a green card expired every 5 years, and you have to re-apply and pay a fee.
@eleisha5054 Yes,but to live In The USA wouldn't they in the least need residency? I'm confused..lol
@@normap3391 wow..every 5 years? That's tough. How much does it cost?
May god ever keep y'all under the blood of Jesus Christ.❤😊🙏🙏❤️🐦🥳🥳
Simas mum was mistaken as a fugitive??!! 😮😮😮😂😂😂😂
I would like to know who that fugitive was?! 🤷♀️
What criticism do you feel they would get..I cant imagine? I hope not though.
